October is Pedestrian Safety Month!
Whether it be in a parking lot, crosswalk, or on a road, everyone is a pedestrian. In 2018, 6,283 pedestrians were killed in traffic crashes in the US (17% of traffic fatalities). That equals a traffic-related pedestrian death every 84 minutes.

Distracted walking incidents are on the rise, and everyone with a cell phone is at risk. We are losing focus on our surroundings and putting our safety at risk. The solution: Stop using phones while walking, and not just in crosswalks and intersections.
