@GarySternNY@domdomdiana@lohud Also left out of the planning for this switch- the fact that BV Elementary is 4000ft from Indian Point. @GovKathyHochul and Comm of Ed Rosa have been ignoring parents asking them to get involved. Health experts have said it's not safe for kids to be near the demolition of IP.
It's time @GovKathyHochul ordered @NYSDPS to focus on the health and safety of the kids and staff at BV Elementary! #Hochul4Holtec? Or for our kids? Holtec has $2bill+ to pocket from doing Indian Point demolition fast and dirty. Stand up and protect our kids!
Why is @GovKathyHochul ignoring the safety of the children at BV Elementary? Why is @NYSDPS refusing to include a parent, a community rep, or medical/health expert on the DOB to raise this safety issue?
DOB is supposed to be a watchdog-not a lapdog letting Holtec put us at risk!
Radioactive waste in the Hudson? Lawmakers @SenatorHarckham & @AMDanaLevenberg have introduced legislation supported by @riverkeeper that would ban this practice.

.
Thanks to you & @SenatorHarckham for introducing this important legislation!
Hope everyone will sign the Food & Water Watch petition opposing this plan to dump radioactive water into the Hudson River:

Hard to believe it’s even being considered!

@MondaireJones There are important decisions coming up relating to school and community safety around the Indian Point Decommissioning. I know your district is up in the air, but we could really value your involvement.
@RepMondaire With all due respect, why are fish getting 13x more funding than our kids for basic safety? Only $500k for radiation monitoring for the kids 4,000ft from the Indian Point demolition. How does that make sense?
With Indian Point decommissioned, I'm grateful to @GovKathyHochul for awarding $15 million to support our workers, invest in local infrastructure, and conduct environmental research.
This funding will be transformative for our communities in #NY17.
