At Safe Night, we believe in a new blueprint for public safety, built on the Proactive Alliance framework. By shifting the focus from reactive enforcement to relationship-based prevention, we help municipalities prevent conflict before it starts.

We’re launching a new model with support from @CenterForPOP that combines the relationship-building skills of Proactive Alliance with Problem-Oriented Policing.
Our new PA-POP model moves beyond "community policing" to the co-production of safety.

A consulting firm specializing in nightlife safety management suggests ways Providence can move beyond temporary police patrols to address the root causes of violence in Federal Hill's entertainment district. https://t.co/zBc6xJaeDe
Great feature on @DallasPD Officer Leonard Fleming! In 2022, he was certified in Proactive Alliance Relationship-Based Policing and began using those skills to build individual relationships for collaborative prevention.

The consequences of drunk driving crashes are both real and heartbreaking. In 2024, there were 22,708 DUI-alcohol related traffic crashes in Texas, resulting in 1,034 fatalities and 2,242 serious injuries. With the holiday season upon us, we want it to be one of joy and fellowship as we gather with family and friends. Fort Worth PD would like to remind everyone that if you plan on drinking alcohol, don't get behind the wheel of a car. Instead, consider the following safe and responsible alternatives:
- Designate a sober driver before you start drinking.
- Use a rideshare service or taxi to get home safely.
- Call a sober friend or family member for a ride.
- Stay where you are until you have sobered up.
Let’s do our part to contribute to safer roads this holiday season and that the holidays remain a time of happiness, not heartbreak, by committing to driving sober.
If you’re headed out tonight in Greenwich Village make sure to stop by an establishment that is part of the Village Safe Spot program!

Chair Fan: New York’s restaurants and bars work hard every day, and this common-sense new law gives them a safety net when inventory runs low so they can continue to operate. It’s a win for our small businesses, aka the heartbeat of our local communities. https://t.co/kyCtWw0A8j
Congratulations to @SHAQ for being promoted to "Chief of Community Relations!" Safe Night's Dimitrios Mastoras had the opportunity to spend some time with him as they collaborated to prevent impaired driving.
There are solutions to manage nightlife that improve safety and economic viability. City leaders need to consider innovative, evidence-based public safety models. #ASafeNightOut

Had a blast on the Belmont Shore, talking with residents, bar owners and others. Here's my report.
