Bus passengers are more than 70x safer per mile than car passengers. They save thousands of dollars a year. They log 30 million rides a year in Hudson County alone.
So why are we still building parking decks?
Today is election day. Read @EmMorgen' case for BRT on JFK👇

A Coach USA bus route between Monroe and Jersey City stopped during COVID.
And now commuters have been forced to their cars or on an even longer series of train commutes.
A new bus company wants to bring it back - will the @NJTurnpike let him?

Just a reminder that cops in Jersey City do not see pedestrian safety as part of their job. I asked a cop stuck in traffic to address a van that was parked on the sidewalk and creating a hazard to pedestrians. They said not their job. Wouldn't even radio for someone to address it
Beautiful evening for a walk! Grateful for the residents who joined the Ward C Vision Zero walk to discuss and witness firsthand dangerous conditions that we’ll address to make our streets safer for all! Peep the Vision Zero billboard in the background that will pop up around JC

Very close call at Washington & Morris between a pedestrian and a delivery truck and a seemingly unsympathetic response from JCPD. New traffic enforcement division was scheduled to begin May 1: https://t.co/7rK0vCk2Q5
Jersey City was built on transit, said JC Mayor James Solomon @SolomonforJC, helping to kick off today’s big North Jersey Transit Forum by @HudCoStreets at Saint Peter’s University.
I’ve learned more about transit and its importance to our county from conversations like this, and we all need to learn more and teach each other and the public as we move forward. – HudCo Executive @CraigGuyHC at the North Jersey Transit Forum by @HudCoStreets
Like every parent, I want our children to cross the street safely. That's why we're investing a nearly million-dollar federal grant we won along with Hoboken into making our streets safer.
Join one of our upcoming community walks and get involved. https://t.co/wtr5IsylDL

Parking obsessed council members keep fighting pedestrian improvements to Washington St in Hoboken and the Newark Pedestrian Plaza in Jersey City claiming lost parking hurts business.
@RealPatConlon breaks down why the "parking = customers" argument fails the evidence test.
