A classic move from a so-called socialist, threatening to sue critics like a corporate executive or right-wing authoritarian. Since when did the left start reaching for defamation lawyers every time someone disagreed?

Zarah, you seem completely confused about your role in this movement. Do you genuinely believe the recent surge in support is because of you?

Let us be accurate. The crowds at festivals were not there for you. They were there for the music. Yes, they cheered when you spoke, because what you said was true. But do not mistake that for personal political support. They were not cheering for you, and they certainly do not trust you to implement the kind of transformative left-wing policies this country urgently needs.

Now let us look at your actual record in Labour. You backed Keir Starmer as leader. You remained publicly silent while he carried out a coordinated purge of the left. You did not defend Jeremy Corbyn when he was falsely smeared and suspended. You did not break from the Labour front bench when it supported regressive policies, including more policing powers, arms sales, and ongoing austerity. You chose to play it safe, to protect your position, and to stay on the inside even when your values should have told you otherwise.

Now compare that to Jeremy Corbyn. He spent his entire career standing for what is right, regardless of personal cost. He stood with workers, with peace movements, with the oppressed, and with communities under siege from the very systems you now claim to oppose. He did not wait for permission to speak out. He has been expelled, vilified, and shut out because he has remained consistent and principled.

Let us be very clear. The energy behind Your Party does not come from you. It comes from Corbyn's integrity and the decades of trust he has built with ordinary people. You are trying to take credit for something you did not create.

If you truly believe in your leadership, start your own party. See if you can build a base of 20,000 people without relying on Jeremy Corbyn’s name. But you will not, because people know the difference between commitment and convenience.

You have chosen to divide the left, not build it. You are not the movement. You are a politician serving your own career first.
