Communism attempts to suppress and eliminate greed, ego, a lust for power, and a want to be rewarded for what you do. This is impossible.
Capitalism takes all of greed, ego, lust for power, a need for reward, and maximizes these aspects of human nature. This is unsustainable.
@ReevesRocks1@TroyJackson207 Look at you throwing rocks in your glass house.
Republicans are the party of Trump, of Roy Moore, of Matt Gaetz. The list goes on.
You have no moral high ground.
@Frasier67Blank@trouble_man90 Ah you just missed that period of time by two years then. 62 years ago water fountains were still separated by race.
It wasn't popular to end that policy at the time. It was less popular than Medicare for All is - we still passed the Civil Rights Act because it was right.
@Frasier67Blank@trouble_man90 Oh you're one of those who'll complain about what anyone says no matter what if you just feel like it because you have no principles. Got it.
@JK270towin@NateSilver538 Voters on the left are ideological, and it is those ideas that were swaying voters in Maine. Raising political awareness is a core progressive goal and it is working.
Just because you stand for nothing doesn't make your projection correct, though that's sad for you.
@KyleSGibson@RogerWallaceTX@OVOhitman Bloomberg who is one of the party's biggest funders and former governor David Paterson. Also Adriano Espaillat who Mamdani just helped retire from his seat.
Schumer not endorsing Mamdani tells me he probably voted Cuomo. Jefferies only endorsed once Mamdani's win was imminent.
@joncoopertweets@Southern_Bluey@grahamformaine They aren't wrong, though. They support a message. Policies. Platner's personal life is not the same thing as his policy platform, and supporting that platform is in no way, shape, or form wrong.
A healthy person can change their opinions w/ new information. No shame in that.
@janeygirloregon@joncoopertweets The policies are what matter. More than gender, more than sexuality, more than the color of our skin.
Doesn't matter if it's AOC or Mamdani or Summer Lee or Talarico or Cori Bush.
You'd probably agree that Susan Collins and Marjorie Taylor Greene are not acceptable.
@joncoopertweets Troy Jackson (Sanders-aligned) is the answer.
Nirav Shaw was being partially funded by 314 Action Fund (ties to AIPAC) -- he is also currently set to be the Democratic candidate for governor.
Shenna Bellows does not have the AIPAC ties but is not for Medicare for All.
@smchatter1@joncoopertweets Troy Jackson just needs to follow Platner's policy platform and combine as much infrastructure as he can with the Platner campaign in terms of door-knocking capacity.
@Frasier67Blank@trouble_man90 How about you, "Old Bones" are you some 60-year-old Gen X freak who can't stop talking about how you used to drink from the garden hose when you were a kid?
Or are you a geriatric fossil from when people lived in black and white, and the water fountains were separated by race?
@XpressHaiti Yes, randomly look up the meaning of "skull and crossbones" for no particular reason. Okay, buddy.
The tattoo going unflagged says more (poorly) about the State Department screening process than it does about Platner.
