@CMofKarnataka ಮಾನ್ಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳೇ, ರಾಜ್ಯಾದ್ಯಂತ ‘ಭಾರತ್ ಜೋಡೋ’ ಯುವ ಸಂಘಗಳ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಗೆ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ₹781 ಕೋಟಿ ಅನುದಾನ ಘೋಷಿಸಿರುವ ಸರ್ಕಾರ, ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಸಂಘ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ನಡೆಸಲು ಮುಂದಾಗಿರುವುದು ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಸಮಯ, ರಾಜಕೀಯ, ಗುಂಪುಗಾರಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗದೆ, ವಿಶ್ವಮಟ್ಟದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಹಾಗೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಭವಿಷ್ಯ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಮೀಸಲಾಗಬೇಕು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಸಂಘ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ನಡೆಸುವ ನಿರ್ಧಾರವನ್ನು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಮರುಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಬೇಕು.

Bringing the Mangaluru railway area—an integral part of Karnataka—under SWR corrects a long-standing anomaly, improves administrative efficiency and strengthens infrastructure planning.
With Karnataka having 3,647 km of rail routes, compared with Kerala’s 1,048 km, this is a rational administrative decision, taken even without consulting Karnataka—not a political controversy. Keralam MPs, Keralam Govt & other vested interests should not politicise it. They should not demand for revenue generated at Mangaluru for which Karnataka has the legitimate right.

The Railway Board’s decision to bring the Mangaluru railway area, which is part of Karnataka, under SWR is in the right direction. It corrects a long-standing anomaly, improves administrative and operational efficiency, and aligns the network more closely with Karnataka, which has 3,647 km of railway route compared with Kerala’s 1,048 km.
This is a rational administrative decision—not an issue for political controversy. The Congress in Kerala should not politicise it.

SWR—South Western Railway—comprises the Bengaluru, Mysuru and Hubballi Divisions, with its headquarters at Hubballi. It covers the major part of Karnataka’s railway network, with smaller stretches extending into Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra.
The Railway Board’s reorganisation brings the Mangaluru railway area closer to Karnataka’s railway administration, improving operational efficiency. With Mangaluru joining SWR, its strategic and revenue significance is set to increase further. Even Kerala has expressed concern that the transfer will reduce the operational and financial importance of Palakkad Division.
Instead of opposing every achievement, you should thank Sri Somanna Ji, Hon’ble Minister of State for Railways, for this significant achievement for Karnataka.

Ms. Lavanya Ballal, the Karnataka High Court, in its July 29, 2026 judgment, upheld the cancellation of disputed land acquisitions and made serious observations on the NICE project. The Court questioned the huge land bank and alleged deviations from the Framework Agreement, and observed that the matter warranted an independent assessment and forensic audit.
Now, digging into history or indulging in political blame games is not important. What is important is for the Government to rise above politics and act decisively on the serious observations and directions of the Hon'ble High Court. Public interest and justice to affected farmers must come first.

The Government has not privatised ISRO or surrendered control of India’s strategic space assets. It has wisely opened space activities to Indian private industry under strict Government authorisation and supervision. This allows ISRO to focus on advanced research and strategic missions, while private industry brings investment, manufacturing capacity, innovation and commercial scale. Sharing existing taxpayer-funded launch and testing infrastructure also avoids unnecessary duplication. IN-SPACe acts as the Government’s single-window body to promote, authorise and supervise private space activities, with strategic and national-security considerations built into the approval process. The results are already visible: rapid growth in Indian space start-ups, increased private investment and successful private orbital launches. In short, this is not privatisation of national space assets— we must note that it is a sensible public-private partnership to make India a stronger, self-reliant and globally competitive space power.

Mr. Priyank Kharge, your statement that the BJP/RSS should replace “Namaste Sada Vatsale Matrubhume” with “Vande Mataram” in shakhas is ridiculous and reflects a lack of understanding. Attend an RSS shakha first and understand its traditions. As for NEET paper leaks, perhaps your Government should first clean up the mess at KPSC. As a Minister, focus on making your Government function effectively instead of commenting on every issue in the news.
