A brave Bengali BSF Jawan from Malda, serving in the 170 Battalion posted in Ukhrul district of Manipur, was martyred in militant firing. He has left behind his wife and children. Those who lecture Bengal about “PORIBORTON” should first turn their gaze towards Manipur.
The Prime Minister and his Home Minister have all the time in the world to campaign in Bengal, but not a single minute to visit Manipur and bring a lasting solution to the ethnic violence that has been raging for three long years. Nearly 300 people have been killed. Tens of thousands have been displaced and injured.
Before you scream “PALTANO DORKAR” in Bengal, Mr. Modi and Mr. Shah do something meaningful for the hapless people of your “ASHTALAKSHMI” state.
Bengal is the land of harmony, where unity across all faiths has always been our guiding light. Over the past decade and a half, under our Maa-Mati-Manush Sarkar, families across the state have found greater stability, well-being and prosperity. Free food, quality education and accessible healthcare have reached every corner, strengthening the bonds of trust between the people and their Government.
The massive turnout at today’s public meetings in Maynaguri, Dabgram–Phulbari and Matigara–Naxalbari is a resounding message from the people. They stand firmly with Trinamool Congress and are ready to give a decisive reply to the unholy nexus of BJP, CPI(M) and Congress. The zamindars sitting in Delhi continue to spread lies and misinformation to malign Bengal’s progress. I strongly condemn these baseless campaigns of distortion and division.
The people of Bengal will not tolerate such malicious attempts to break our unity. They will respond through the power of democracy, with their votes. I am confident that the people will bless our candidates with an overwhelming mandate and decisively reject every conspiracy hatched by the Bangla-Birodhi forces. Joy Bangla! Trinamool Congress Zindabad! Maa-Mati-Manush Zindabad!
.@BJP4India has nowhere left to hide. They are backed into a corner, surrounded on all sides by the fury they themselves created.
They face the boiling anger of general voters humiliated, tormented, and pushed to the brink by the fraudulent SIR process. They face the seething anger of their own karyakartas rejecting candidate selection. And now they face the anger even from those who once voted for them.
In Moyna, the outgoing BJP MLA was publicly accosted during his prachar by an angry local who demanded to know why he has been MISSING all these years?
BJP’s every action has finally caught up with them. The people of Bengal have had enough. In two phases, Bengal will bowl two straight yorkers and knock the stumps flying in two decisive democratic blows.

Today, I place before the people my 10 ‘Protigya’ for Bengal.
My commitments span every pillar of governance, strengthening support for women, youth, farmers, landless agricultural labourers, and the elderly; advancing education and healthcare; ensuring housing and piped drinking water for every household; strengthening administration; and transforming Bengal into the Gateway of trade for Eastern India.
Through these pledges, I reiterate my resolve to sustain the momentum of progress with renewed vigour in the fourth term of my Maa-Mati-Manush Sarkar, and to further strengthen Bengal’s position as one of the leading states of the nation.
Kitchens across India are struggling because LPG cylinders are either unavailable or unaffordable. Yet the Modi government keeps denying the crisis. People are suffering while Delhi looks away. #ModiBabuLPGBekabu#LPGpricehike
Children going to school without lunchboxes is the real face of this LPG crisis. The Modi government cannot hide behind excuses anymore. #ModiBabuLPGBekabu#LPGpricehike
Restaurants are raising prices because LPG is scarce and expensive. But the Modi government keeps blaming others instead of fixing the crisis. #ModiBabuLPGBekabu#LPGpricehike
LPG comes under the energy sector. Ensuring supply is the Central government’s responsibility. Yet Modi Sarkar is busy shifting blame. #ModiBabuLPGBekabu#LPGpricehike
Modi promised LPG in every home through Ujjwala. Today families have cylinders but cannot afford to refill them. What kind of promise is this? #ModiBabuLPGBekabu#LPGpricehike
The Election Commission has now carried out the transfers that the @BJP4India had been loudly demanding. For us, this only deepens an uncomfortable question, are constitutional institutions being allowed to function independently, or are they increasingly being nudged to serve BJP’s political script?
The BJP may attempt to compensate for its lack of public support through institutional manoeuvring, but Bengal’s political consciousness cannot be managed through administrative reshuffles.
Our MPs, including Shri Samirul Islam, registered a strong protest in the Rajya Sabha and walked out, refusing to legitimise such conduct.
From homes to hospitals, everyone depends on LPG. When the supply collapses, the entire system suffers. This is the failure of the Modi government. #ModiBabuLPGBekabu#LPGpricehike
Modi ji should step out of his speeches and look at the ground reality. People are struggling to cook because LPG has become unaffordable. #ModiBabuLPGBekabu#LPGpricehike
