What we are witnessing is deeply concerning. There are growing indications of a coordinated attempt to interfere with the democratic rights of the people of Bengal - with the BJP at the centre of it and the ECI seemingly looking the other way.
People deserve to know what is happening to their votes. This isn’t a small issue- It goes to the very heart of free and fair elections.
We are receiving credible reports from several districts that large numbers of Form 6 applications (New Voters) are being submitted in a questionable manner. These are not routine additions. There are serious concerns that many of these entries may be linked to individuals who have no real connection to Bengal—people who don’t live here, don’t work here and have no stake in the state.
The video only adds to these concerns. It appears to show thousands of such forms being processed and stacked, raising valid questions about the scale and intent behind this exercise.
We have seen similar concerns being raised in other states during elections. Bengal cannot be allowed to go down that path.
Take a moment to watch this. Ask questions. Because this is not just about politics- it’s about protecting the integrity of our vote. This is the kind of “PARIBORTON” the BJP seeks to impose on Bengal.
The Election Commission must answer.

Today, Bengal showed the streets what its roar truly sounds like. Row after row, people poured out in numbers that left no room for doubt.
Answering the call of Hon’ble Chairperson Smt. @mamataofficial, ordinary citizens stepped forward to give a fitting reply to every Bangla-Birodhi conspiracy. No amount of intimidation or agency-driven tactics can break this resolve.
Jotoi Koro Hamla,
#AbarJitbeBangla!
Democracy is punished.
Criminals are rewarded.
Agencies are weaponised.
Elections are manipulated.
JAIL the PROTESTERS.
BAIL the RAPISTS.
This is BJP’s version of New India.
Even if the rest of the country is forced to surrender,
Bengal will resist.
We will fight you tooth and nail
and defeat you,
no matter how much force you unleash. #AbarJitbeBangla
I am deeply moved and genuinely heartened to learn that Sunali Khatun has given birth to a healthy baby boy at Rampurhat Medical College, Birbhum. This moment of joy feels even more profound against the backdrop of the injustice she was subjected to. In a shocking abuse of power, she was FALSELY BRANDED as a Bangladeshi and FORCIBLY DEPORTED TO BANGLADESH by the Delhi Police and the Union Government.
Her ordeal was a violation of dignity that no citizen, least of all a pregnant mother, should ever be forced to endure. Yet, through it all Sunali displayed extraordinary courage and resolve.
This is a triumph of humanity. Tomorrow, during my visit to Birbhum, I will personally meet Sunali at the hospital to convey my best wishes to her and her newborn. My prayers remain with her family.

AITC, under the guidance and inspiration of Hon’ble Party Chairperson Smt. @MamataOfficial , is pleased to announce the appointment of District Coordinators with responsibility of respective assembly constituencies in West Bengal.
We congratulate the new appointees and wish them the very best for their endeavours.
Trinamool has consistently worked to address public concerns in a constructive manner. Our delegation raised this issue today before the CEO, WB and we are glad that steps were taken subsequently to provide relief.
We respectfully request the @ECISVEEP to consider the cases of senior citizens on compassionate grounds, particularly those above 60 years of age who are living with medical conditions or comorbidities. We hope such individuals may be spared from being called for hearings, so as to avoid any undue hardship. HUMANITY must always remain our guiding principle.
An elderly voter, Gouri Manna from Chinsurah, Hooghly, who recently suffered a cerebral attack and struggles to walk, was forcibly called to take a SIR hearing just to prove her legitimacy as a voter. She is not alone, many elderly and disabled citizens are facing similar hardships.
Under SIR, voters with severe health issues are being forced to travel long distances, facing logistical and physical barriers. This is exclusion disguised as procedure, making the process non-inclusive and unfair.
In contrast, the 2024 Lok Sabha elections saw the Election Commission enabling home voting for citizens above 85 and PwDs with 40% or higher benchmark disability, proving that door-to-door mechanisms are both possible and effective. If inclusivity was possible then, why is it absent now?
Is the SIR exercise truly about protecting voting rights through transparency, or is it a deliberate attempt to delete as many voters’ names as possible by creating obstacles the vulnerable cannot overcome?
