Mangled changes to Electoral Act (delayed by the tardiness of Min of Home Affairs) contributed to serious problems yesterday. Insufficient voter education and poor planning for the changes by underfunded IEC added to the problem. Managing to minimise disruptions is an IEC win.

@VisionNative @VusiSambo It's not an uncommon practice at all. Ysterplaat is too small, and the other two are much too far away from CPT. The SAAF is way too under-resourced to be shifting around ground equipment to accommodate Inkwazi at commercial airports, hence the need for commercial ground crews.

@VisionNative @VusiSambo Ysterplaat doesn't have the proper facilities as far as I'm aware to handle the 737 BBJ. You can't compare us to the USA. If Air Force One is scheduled at a particular airport, they send C17's ahead of time with all the equipment you can think of. We don't have that ability.
