A meeting between Dr. Devesh Chaturvedi, Secretary, DA&FW, and Ms. Kim Reynolds, Governor of Iowa State, USA, along with Mr. Mike Naig, Secretary of Agriculture of Iowa, USA, was held at Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi, today.

In order to bring global best practices and world-class technology suitable for Indian farmers and agriculture, both sides agreed to explore possibilities of cooperation and collaboration in key areas such as seed development, precision agriculture, technology used in the production of bioethanol, and collaboration on agricultural research with ICAR. They also committed to exploring the potential for mutual benefit in these areas.

कृषि एवं किसान कल्याण मंत्रालय द्वारा 3 सितंबर, 2024 को कृषि भवन, नई दिल्ली में आयोजित "कृषि अनुसंधान (टीएआर) में निजी क्षेत्र की भूमिका को बढ़ाना" कार्यक्रम को माननीय केंद्रीय कृषि एवं किसान कल्याण राज्य मंत्री श्री भागीरथ चौधरी ने संबोधित किया।

माननीय मंत्री ने किसानों के हित में केंद्र सरकार के प्रयासों की सराहना की और कहा कि कृषि विज्ञान केंद्रों और किसान उत्पादक संगठनों को अधिक से अधिक प्रोत्साहित करना आवश्यक है।

इस कदम से गांव के छोटे से छोटे किसान को लाभ होगा और पब्लिक-प्राइवेट-पार्टनरशिप के माध्यम से कृषि क्षेत्र का बेहतर विकास संभव हो सकेगा।
