Dozens of studies pinpointed to reconsider term extension in fragile states, highlighting the risks it poses to democracy. By perpetuating the rule of a single leader,it can hinder the growth of democratic institutions, stifle opposition voices and amplifying social divisions
@4rukun@FEGnassingbe@rdussey@LomePSF Congratulations to H.E. President Faure Gnassingbé @FEGnassingbe and Prof. Robert Dussey @rdussey Chairman @4rukun for steering #LPSF2025. Lomé has become a working hub for African peace and security. The Forum now drives agendas, aligns actors, and builds institutional momentum.

In post-conflict societies seeking election consensus becomes imperative to prevent negative consequences arising from the negligence of common interests and serves as a catalyst for societal healing and development.
@alihwarsame Well articulated! Your insights into Somalia’s civil war provide a powerful and thought-provoking perspective on resilience and the human cost of conflict.
Congratulations to #Somalia and Finance Minister @BihiEgeh for successfully achieving debt relief! This is a significant accomplishment for the country and will bring much-needed financial relief for a stronger Somalia.
Today I announced the agreement of the completion of the debt relief process with the USA alongside @US2SOMALIA's Ambassador Richard H. Riley in #Mogadishu. American government debt totalling over $1.14 billion dollars was forgiven today by the United States government.
This follows the successful debt relief process and the Paris Club agreement of March this year, which supported debt cancellation for #Somalia. I thank the U.S. government and people for their unwavering support of our economic reforms and growth.
Delighted to attend insightful “welcome event” H.E @alihwarsame hosted by #SomaliaDiasporaStockholm. Warsame’s profound speech shed light on the pivotal role of Somali diaspora in fostering peace and unity.
