رسانه‌های ایران گزارش داده‌اند که یک دختر ۱۶ ساله‌‌ی افغانستانی به اسم «آرزو خاوری» پس از تهدید به اخراج از مکتب در شهر ری این کشور، خودکشی کرده است.

به گزارش خبرگزاری تسنیم، این دانش‌آموز دختر عصر روز یک‌شنبه (۱۳ عقرب) «به‌دلیل تهدید به اخراج از سوی مدیر مدرسه دچار استرس شده و در پی آن دست به خودکشی زده است».

اداره‌ی کل آموزش و پرورش شهرستان‌/ولسوالی‌های تهران ایران مرگ این دانش‌آموز افغانستانی را تأیید کرده، اما در مورد علت مرگ او توضیحی ارائه نکرده است.
