Wrong, the real bottleneck with consoles in general has never been the CPU, it’s the GPU, consoles can get away with having a weaker CPU than a gaming PC for example, that’s because a console’s operating system is lightweight and optimized for its specific hardware, whereas Windows alone with all its background processes already takes up 30-40% of your CPU usage when you load up a game
That simpy isn’t true, the real bottleneck with consoles in general has never been the CPU, it’s the GPU, consoles can get away with having a weaker CPU than a gaming PC, that’s because a console’s operating system is lightweight and optimized for its specific hardware, whereas Windows alone with all its background processes already takes up 30-40% of your CPU usage when you load up a game
@Yourhouse42069@charlieINTEL True, and with PSSR I have no doubt they can make the game run at a higher frame rate on 1080p without sacrificing much on quality or visuals because of the upscaling
Wrong, the real bottleneck with consoles in general has never been the CPU, it’s always been the GPU, the reason that’s the case is because consoles can get away with having a weaker CPU
For example a gaming PC needs a high powered CPU because Windows alone already takes up a pretty big percentage of the CPU usage just to run in the background with all its processes, whereas a PS5’s operating system is lightweight and optimized for its specific hardware, therefore it can run in the background at a very low CPU consumption, there’s a reason most PS5 Pro Enhanced games have been able to run at double the framerate on the same resolution
@SynthPotato Where did you get the information that it will only be 30 fps? They said right now they can only confirm the game will be running at 4k 30 fps, there’s nothing that suggests it won’t have a 1440p or 1080p 60 fps mode
Grand Theft Auto 6 has over 600,000 animations for how NPCs can react in the world, compared to only 55,000 animations that were in in GTAV
