S/Y Middle Earth, it’s a Columbia 43 CB, build in 1971 by Columbia sailing yachts. Middle Earth is hull 109 out of the production line and seen 3 different owners on her lifetime, me being the latest.

Over the last two years I spent a significant amount of time with friends made at sea fixing her up and getting her sea worthy for her upcoming adventure.

Middle Earth was left unattended for 8 years before I joined, the amount of damage for the lack of maintenance over this years unattended was quite substantial and also challenging to learn all her systems and get her back up to speed.

The quality of the build and how Mr William Tripp Jr thought about the design and applications for this vessel over 50 years ago it’s quite remarkable and truly amazing.

With eyes on the finish line for her planed maintenance and refit works builds up the excitement for finally setting a life long dream in action and experiencing living trough a perspective and way that I have wished and planned for so long.

Middle Earth is my next step towards freedom and simplicity.
