Doug's been sailing from El Salvador to Barra de Navidad as crew on a friend's boat. They're expecting to arrive tomorrow. A couple of storms and very hot. Here are rays from their first stop, Chiapas. #sailing#sealife
We're so into our solar power on Illusion (excitingly we can even use an electric kettle and toaster these days - though not at exactly the same time!) but it is a big outlay at the start. This is an interesting read about land-based solar incentive programs.
Is MA's solar incentive program helping low-income residents access solar? Not really, the evidence says. And getting there is going to be a challenge.

We headed out to sea last week on Raven. They were heading to Mexico and wanted extra crew - but then had engine probs so we turned round. A nice little 25hr adventure! Here we are crossing the bar to get back into the estuary.
@sugarbagnz Yes, hard to believe! I remember that day; I even have some old Hi-8 video (digitized) we took when we pulled up the anchor & motored around the family boat we were buddy-boating with. Are you still in touch with them?
@LifeAfloat I always have so much respect for the way you share your inner journey as well as the amazing outside journeys you undertake. Thank you for your clarity and unique take on the world. Glad things look a bit lighter and I'm excited for the journey you're planning! All the best x

We're still in El Salvador!!! Had a dramatic shaft seal leak the day before we'd planned to leave - then after fixing that decided we wanted to stay longer so Toby can go to school for a bit.
Interesting breakthrough in understanding rogue waves, not the mini variety that comes from interacting wave trains, but the huge ones that nobody understands. https://t.co/v27ArdPIw7
