What are the odds? Yesterday, I came across the lead truck for the Khalistan convoy, and after briefly tailing it, it led me to the business where they print their “hate” materials: a Richmond business, Infinite Signs.

The rather abhorrent banners and images paraded outside Hindu temples today by Sikhs for Justice, a group designated as a terrorist organization by India, including depictions of late Indian prime minister Indira Gandhi riddled with bullet holes as she is murdered by her own Sikh bodyguards, may have been printed by Infinite Signs, though the company has not responded to our media inquiry.

In the Kashmir Valley today, we have only one local TV news channel, ANN News. Before 2012, there were many local channels. Unfortunately, many of them provoked people, broadcast anti-country propaganda, glorified separatism, and reportedly received monthly payments for doing so.

I once worked for one of those channels as an employee. One day, I mistakenly forgot to include news about a separatist leader in my bulletin. Because of that single mistake, I was terminated from my job. I tried to explain to them that I had no other source of income and that it was just a mistake. I apologized and requested another chance, but they did not listen.

With tears in my eyes, I went home and told my mother what had happened. She comforted me and said, “Don’t worry, I am alive.” Her words gave me strength, but after that I went through very difficult financial times. I was the only earning member of my family, and the responsibility was heavy.

For a long time I kept asking myself why this happened. I knocked on many doors and asked for permission to start my own channel where I could show people the reality and share positive news. But every door was closed because many people supported those existing channels.

Eventually, those channels were shut down because of their anti-country propaganda. After many struggles, I finally succeeded in starting the first pro-country channel, ANN News.

Even today, the struggle continues. Pro-separatist and anti-national elements still exist in different forms, including among some powerful businessmen and people in government departments. They try their best to shut down ANN News because we promote pro-India nationalism in the Kashmir Valley.

Despite all these challenges, I continue my work with determination and hope that one day truth and positivity will prevail.
