@bill_neely@jkenney@UCPCaucus Do you realize this is not about money? This is literally about how there are not enough nurses in the system right now at this very moment to care for critically ill people. Physically not enough certified bodies in the province to do the thing, hourly wage or not.
@421karl @jkenney@UCPCaucus Absolutely. I’m glad that’s apparent. You need to be asking these questions to your MLAs, please! We need the public to speak up.
@CamWesthead @JKR0330 @jkenney@UCPCaucus I have a great MLA- have thought about it tho, just not too keen on public life and on having to deal with being a woman in politics on the left- I’d been constantly afraid for my family in the province, sadly. I fully realize that that is not ok and it shouldn’t be that way.
@MyInfoTomSato1@jkenney@UCPCaucus You are completely ignorant of what you are speaking. OB = obstetrics. I’m from a very busy critical care area already, my unit is very busy and high risk. My point is they are pulling from a dry well. This is not ok.
@SolidGroundLtd@jkenney@UCPCaucus So my colleagues on my unit should work short now without me, so that I can go and try to “relieve” in the ICU so that my colleagues there can survive? You have no idea what you are even talking about.
This is a failure brought on by the blatant lack of respect this government has shown us these last years. RNs are leaving and new ones don’t want to work here. When I asked how long I could be expected to be “redeployed” the answer was “until new staff r trained”
A long🧵on the direction of Educaiton in Alberta. Parents across Alberta should be very wary of this message. I'm a father of two amazing young people, I've been an educator for 20 years and I'm conducting research in Education and Science.
Watching a province full of citizens absolutely buried under the weight of their (private) insurance, heat & power bills, being sold the idea that extending privatization into healthcare will somehow make the system more affordable.

@JenNeuman10@Feisty_Waters 8 shifts in the next 10weeks doesn’t sound like any kind of usefulness. I would not be any kind of help, I would absolutely just be dead weight.
@JenNeuman10@Feisty_Waters My past Jen made some excellent choices over the last few weeks and now I work 8 shifts over the course of the next 10 weeks. #winning.
I have a number of followers who are new parents. As a child psychiatrist and a father, I will add to this thread in time to give, what I can assure you, is very valuable advice you won’t find in any medical literature.
I tried to buy a coffee at Tim’s and my card wouldn’t work. At first I thought “those damn liberals froze my account” and then I remember I’m just broke because the UCP took away rate caps.....
Let's talk about the hatred towards Trudeau a little bit here. I doubt this Tweet will get much attention but I want to air this frustration I have, particularly with #Albertans over the age of 50 who are triggered into rage everytime you say "Trudeau".
TLDR: Get over it
