In April 1979, La Soufrière erupted again.
Although no one was killed, thousands were evacuated and extensive agricultural damage occurred.

In 1902, the La Soufrière volcano erupted, killing 1,500–2,000 people; much farmland was damaged, and the economy deteriorated.

In 2021, the La Soufrière volcano erupted, no one was killed by the volcano.

The Unity Labour Party (ULP) is a social democratic and democratic socialist political party in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Currently the governing party, it is led by Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves.

The current Prime Minister is Ralph Gonsalves, elected in 2001 as head of the Unity Labour Party.
