@rwatkins829 @TheRajGiri For me it was story readability. Fighting champion getting put out of his misery by a friend was strongly emotive. You can fault fans for not getting the nuance of the Cena arc, but sometimes intent doesn’t align with execution. Fair to say it didn’t this time with many fans.

@LorrDoom @JustinWhang I think it’s fair to feel like the ending didn’t land. That it didn’t have the desired impact. For me, the perceived “cop out” could have been better for the story. Especially if it was Cena throwing up the hand gesture one last time and it dropping as he gets put under.

@JonAlba I really dig Gunther and his old school heel vibe, but I’d be hard pressed into actualizing this as a career elevating moment for him. It feels like he beat the underdog, which cements his current status rather than building on it.

@TheRajGiri I would say it protected him more than made him a bigger star. Tapping out Cena was meant to be a huge feat. Maybe in the weeks to come it will be? Right now it just feels like it says more about Cena than it does about Gunther. Gunther aura is still the same.

@MilaLovesJoe It’s because people became too connected and herd mentality became the dominant way to think. I imagine many people were blind to color (or at least acted that way) because we maintained our identity as individuals and cared more about maintaining our own peace and harmony.
