Told my Roomate I spent 6 hours today talking about virtue and he was confused cause I study political science. It’s just…more complicated than I want it to be.
You know looking at everything, I’m starting to think a lot of people don’t know how democracy even at a representative form is or what liberty is. Like…idk maybe these concepts are kinda hard to convey?
1 is from my favorite Dead Kennedys and while I wish it could be N*si Punks F*ck Off my real number 1 is Pull My Strings because of all the context surrounded by it. That being said it makes me super sad that most of the members of DK sold out considering this song even exists.
Thread of my top 5 favorite punk songs with room for honorable mention.
HM is gonna be Institutionalized by S*ici*al Tendencies. This song honestly just makes me laugh (Cough cough pepsi???) while also making a great point among other thing. The guitar riff also big slaps
2 has to be Rage Against the Machine but while I think that Killing in the Name is great and that people miss the point, I personally love Bullet in the Head quite a bit more. I think that Punk's criticism of fascism is wonderful and it does it in a more "subtle" way thank KITM
Honestly, maybe it's a good idea to just do a third party, especially when it comes to midterms. Like I get two-party systems, but honestly, if Dems want to talk about pushing further rights and start to throw queer people under the bus what's the point of sticking with them?
