I have had the most exciting and memorable three days interacting with and mentoring students in schools within Samburu West Constituency.

Special thanks to Celina Leshoomo, Patel Lewarani, Peter Leguuto, Dr. Maiyan Lekirimpoto, Sabina Lelemoyog, and Andrew Lokitambaa for sharing your inspiring stories of focus, resilience, discipline, hard work, passion, perseverance, and commitment. These qualities have led you to become exemplary citizens, representing Samburu on a global stage. I have no doubt that your stories will have a profound impact on the lives of the younger generation. Thank you for being the true definition of "leaving home to change home."

I also extend my gratitude to the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS), through Dr. Solomon Lemunen and Angeline Wahu, for providing crucial information that helps students focus on subject selection and apply for placements at universities, colleges, and TVETs. I supported the schools by securing handbooks from KUCCPS, which will serve as valuable reference material. As the saying goes, "information is power," and I hope these resources will be impactful as the Class of 2024 prepares their applications.

Beyond emphasizing academic excellence, this mentorship initiative aims to address the challenges affecting students in Samburu West; including early marriages, teen pregnancies, school dropouts among boys due to moranism, banditry, substance abuse, and FGM among other issues.

I believe that the time and resources dedicated to this initiative will not be in vain and I am confident that the lives of the students have been positively impacted.

I was also blessed to fellowship at AIC Maralal today.

I am deeply impressed by the incredible work Hon. Ledamalekina is doing with his Enkanasa milk project and the empowerment of grassroots women. Last week, I had the privilege of accompanying the Senator to Sikawa and Ilmeshuki le Kule in Narok, where he handed over two milk facilities to the community, commissioned a road to improve access to Sikawa, and electrified the two plants.
Today, he heads to Narok West—specifically Talek and Ngosuani—where he will launch the construction of two additional milk plants. His vision is to establish 30 such facilities across the county.
Setting up a milk collection and processing plant capable of producing pasteurized milk, butter, and cheese would typically cost a county government around 400 million shillings. Although this is a private venture, it directly and significantly impacts the community through employment opportunities and access to infrastructure such as roads, water, and electricity.
I came, I saw, and I learned.
