Viral Discovery in Bhupalpally – But 24+ Hours Later, Still ZERO Official Action! Urgent Plea
Yesterday (March 3, 2026)— We reshared the historic video of this sacred idol's discovery and extraction in Bhupalpally (Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, Telangana). The response was overwhelming! Thousands of people shared it across social media, devotees poured in reactions of awe and pride, and the post went viral in no time.
Everyone was talking about this rare treasure: a 5-foot ancient granite statue of Lord Vishnu (locally revered as Sri Chennakesava Swamy / Jaganmohini Kesava Swamy form), unearthed from the Peddavaagu stream near Madaram / forest area after being buried for centuries (Kakatiya era influence, estimated 700–1000+ years old).
- Front: Majestic Lord Kesava (Vishnu)
- Back: Enchanting Mohini avatar (unique dual form seen only in rare places like Ryali, East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh — 11th century temple)
This find is truly a matter of immense pride for our town and a shining example of Sanatan heritage!
But here's what has happened since yesterday… absolutely nothing from the authorities.
- Despite the massive sharing and public excitement, no official has come forward even today (March 4, 2026).
- No one from the District Administration, Telangana Archaeology Department, Endowment Department, or local heritage teams has reached out to the villagers who discovered and carefully extracted it after 3 years of effort.
- No team has arrived to examine the idol, verify its authenticity/age, clean it, document it, or protect it from exposure.
- It remains right there in the same stream bed — vulnerable to weather, elements, and potential damage — now on the 4th/5th day since extraction!
We hyped this because it is extremely rare and precious — but without official intervention, all the pride and viral attention means nothing if the idol isn't safeguarded properly.
This is our core message:
The discoverers deserve acknowledgment and support. This divine vigraha deserves immediate protection, expert inspection, and relocation to a secure temple or site for worship and public darshan.
We request everyone — devotees, locals, Sarpanch, village heads, district officials, @TelanganaCMO, Archaeology Department, and heritage enthusiasts — to raise this urgently! Tag authorities, share widely, and demand action before it's too late.
