As per today's Lok Sabha reply (08 Aug 2025), AYUSH doctors can practise only within their own systems under NCISM/NCH Acts.
Allopathic practice remains under NMC.
While some states allow limited prescriptions in rural needs, no central plan exists to expand this nationwide.
