شہر کی ایک معروف یونیورسٹی میں ڈاکٹر حارث فلسفۂ اخلاقیات پڑھاتے تھے۔ عمر پچاس کے قریب تھی، گفتگو میں ٹھہراؤ، لباس میں سادگی اور لہجے میں ایسی شائستگی کہ طالب علم ان کی کلاس میں صرف لیکچر سننے نہیں، انسان بننے آتے تھے۔

ایک روز کلاس میں ایک طالب علم نے سوال کیا:

"سر! کیا اچھے اخلاق کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ انسان ہر غلط شخص کے ساتھ بھی اچھا سلوک کرتا رہے؟"

ڈاکٹر حارث چند لمحے خاموش رہے، پھر مسکرا کر بولے:

"نہیں۔ اچھا اخلاق یہ نہیں کہ آپ ہر غلطی کو برداشت کریں، بلکہ یہ ہے کہ آپ کسی کی غلطی کے جواب میں اپنی انسانیت نہ کھو دیں۔"

طالب علم نے دوبارہ پوچھا:

"لیکن اگر کوئی شخص ہماری عزت نہ کرے تو ہم اس کے ساتھ ��زت سے کیوں پیش آئیں؟"

ڈاکٹر حارث نے میز پر رکھی کتاب بند کی اور کہا:

"کیونکہ آپ کا اخلاق دوسرے کے کردار کا محتاج نہیں ہونا چاہیے۔"

کلاس ختم ہوئی تو ایک طالب علم، سلمان، ان کے پاس آیا۔ وہ ذہین تھا، مگر کامیابی نے اس کے لہجے میں کچھ غرور پیدا کر دیا تھا۔

سلمان نے کہا:

"سر، عملی زندگی میں اخلاق سے زیادہ قابلیت کام آتی ہے۔"

ڈاکٹر حارث نے مسکرا کر جواب دیا:

"قابلیت آپ کو دروازے تک لے جا سکتی ہے، سلمان، مگر اخلاق طے کرتا ہے کہ دروازہ آپ کے لیے دوبارہ کھلے گا یا نہیں۔"

وقت گزرا۔

کئی برس بعد سلمان ایک بڑی کمپنی کا سربراہ بن گیا۔ اس کے پاس دولت، اختیار اور شہرت س�� کچھ تھا، مگر ملازمین اس سے خوف کھاتے تھے۔ وہ معمولی غلطی پر لوگوں کو سب کے سامنے ڈانٹ دیتا، ماتحتوں کی رائے کو کم تر سمجھتا اور اپنے عہدے کو اپنی شخصیت سے بڑا سمجھنے لگا تھا۔

ایک دن کمپنی کا ایک پرانا ملازم غلطی کر بیٹھا۔ سلمان نے غصے میں اسے سب کے سامنے سخت الفاظ کہہ دیے۔

ملازم نے سر جھکا لیا اور خاموشی سے کمرے سے باہر چلا گیا۔

اسی شام سلمان کو معلوم ہوا کہ وہ شخص گزشتہ بیس برس سے کمپنی کے ساتھ تھا اور اپنی ریٹائرمنٹ کے صرف چند ماہ دور تھا۔

سلمان پہلی بار اپنے الفاظ کے وزن سے گھبرا گیا۔

اسے اچانک یونیورسٹی کی وہ کلاس یاد آئی۔

"آپ کا اخلاق دوسرے کے کردار کا محتاج نہیں ہونا چاہیے۔"

اگلے دن اس نے اس ملازم کو اپنے دفتر میں بلایا۔

کچھ دیر دونوں خاموش بیٹھے رہے۔

پھر سلمان نے کہا:

"مجھے آپ سے معافی مانگنی ہے۔"

ملازم نے حیرت سے اسے دیکھا۔

سلمان نے کہا:

"کل میں نے آپ کی غلطی سے زیادہ اپنی تربیت کی کمزوری ظاہر کی۔ مجھے آپ کو سمجھانا چاہیے تھا، سب کے سامنے شرمندہ نہیں کرنا چاہیے تھا۔"

ملازم کی آنکھوں میں نمی آگئی۔

وہ بولا:

"صاحب، غلطی تو مجھ سے ہوئی تھی۔"

سلمان نے آہستہ سے جواب دیا:

"غلطی آپ سے ہوئی تھی، مگر بے عزتی مجھ سے۔"

یہ جملہ کہہ کر وہ خاموش ہوگیا۔

کچھ دن بعد سلمان اپنے پرانے استاد ڈاکٹر حارث سے ملنے یونیورسٹی پہنچا۔

اس نے کہا:

"سر، اب سمجھ آیا کہ اخلاق کیا ہوتا ہے۔"

ڈاکٹر حارث مسکرائے:

"کیا سمجھ آیا؟"

سلمان نے کہا:

"یہ کہ انسان کی اصل آزمائش اس وقت نہیں ہوتی جب سامنے والا اس سے محبت کرے، بلکہ اس وقت ہوتی ہے جب اسے اختیار حاصل ہو اور سامنے والا اس سے کمزور ہو۔"

ڈاکٹر حارث نے اثبات میں سر ہلایا۔

پھر بولے:

"اور اخلاق کی سب سے خوبصورت منزل وہ ہے جہاں انسان کسی کو معاف کرتے ہوئے یہ محسوس نہ کرے کہ وہ بڑا بن گیا ہے؛ بلکہ یہ سمجھے کہ اسے بھی کبھی کسی کی معافی کی ضرورت پڑ سکتی ہے۔"

سلمان کچھ دیر خاموش رہا۔

جاتے ہوئے اس ن�� یونیورسٹی کی راہداری میں لگی ایک عبارت پڑھی:

"علم انسان کو بتاتا ہے کہ کیا درست ہے،
مگر اخلاق اسے سکھاتا ہے کہ درست ہوتے ہوئے بھی دوسروں کے ساتھ کیسے پیش آنا ہے۔"

وہ مسکرایا اور آگے بڑھ گیا۔

اس دن اسے پہلی بار محسوس ہوا کہ انسان بہت سی کتابیں پڑھ کر بھی ادھورا رہ سکتا ہے، اگر اس نے لوگوں کے دل پڑھنا نہ سیکھا ہو۔

اور شاید یہی اچھے اخلاق کی سب سے بڑی پہچان ہے:

آپ کی گفتگو سے کوئی آپ کی ذہانت کا اندازہ لگائے یا نہ لگائے،
مگر آپ کے رویّے سے اسے اپنی قدر کا احساس ضرور ہونا چاہیے۔

Liberation is not material comfort. It’s not a seat at empire’s cruel table. Liberation is this—sovereignty, dignity, being masters of your own fate, the authors of your own story and destiny, and, most importantly the kind of alliance with the oppressed that ties your freedom to theirs.

The Free People of Yemen had every opportunity to capitulate to empire, avoid bombing and hunger, receive some material comforts, get folded into the global banking system, the global extractive order. Instead, they chose to stand with Palestine, to reject genocide, and fight powers vastly more powerful than them.

Today they are triumphant.

ڈاکٹر اسرار احمد مرحوم بڑے سکالر تھے ، قرآن پہ بڑا عبور رکھتے تھے، اقبالیات کے بھی ماہر تھے ، مگر کبھی اپنے فرقے کے سرکل کو توڑ کر باہر نہیں نکل پائے ، علمائے دیوبند کے خود ساختہ منشور سے کبھی جان نہیں چھڑا پائے، تحریک وہ نظام خلافت کیلئے چلا رہے تھے اور قصیدے بنو امیہ کی ملوکیت کے پڑھا کرتے تھے، یہی دوہرا رویہ انہیں لے ڈوبا اور وہ اپنے مشن میں کبھی کامیاب نہ ہو سکے، ڈاکٹر صاحب سے اس موضوع پر ان کے دفتر میں ��ات بھی ہوئی تھی ، ان کا کہنا تھاکہ اگر میں اپنے مسلک کے خلاف کوئی بات کروں گا تو سب میرے پیچھے پڑ جائیں گے، اور ان کا یہ ڈر درست بھی تھا ، بعد میں جب مولانا طارق جمیل صاحب نے منبر پر بیٹھ کر من کنت مولاہ فہذا علی مولاہ والی حدیث بیان کی تو دیوبندی مولوی انہیں پڑ گئے تھے اور انہیں نبی کریم ﷺ کی ایک مستند ترین اور متفقہ علیہ حدیث بیان کرنے پر رافضی قرار دے دیا تھا ۔ اب آپ مولانا اسحاق صاحب مرحوم کی جرات ، ہمت ، دلیری اور استقامت کا اندازہ لگائیں کہ اس دور میں کہ جب وہابی جماعتیں ملٹری اسٹیبلشمنٹ کی سرپرستی میں کھلے سانڈوں کی طرح پھر رہی تھیں ، سپاہ صحابہ اپنے عروج پر تھی، لشکر جھنگوی کے دہشت گرد جگہ جگہ قتل عام کرتے پھر رہے تھے، دعوت اسلامی نامی ایک ناصبی گروہ ٹھیک ٹھاک افرادی قوت اکٹھی کر چکا تھا ، احسان الٰہی ظہیر کے چیلے منہ سے جھاگ اڑاتے اہل بیت رسول ﷺ کے دشمنوں، قاتلوں اور باغیوں کا دفاع کر رہے تھے، ایسے خوفناک دور میں تن تنہا مولانا اسحاق صاحب نے حق کا ایسا علم بلند کیا کہ حیران کر دیا ، وہ تمام مستند احادیث اور تاریخ جو دیوبندی ، وہابی اور بریلوی چھپاتے تھے، مولانا اسحاق نے منبر سے سرعام بیان کیں ،ایسی بیان کیں کہ لوگوں کو یہ تمام احادیث زبانی یاد ہو گئیں ، مسلک و فرقے سے بالاتر ہو کر حق بیان کرنا کبھی آسان نہیں ہوتا، مگر مولانا اسحاق صاحب نے کسی مصلحت کسی ڈر کو آڑ نہیں بننے دیا اور بنو امیہ کے کرتوت کھول کھول کر سامنے لے آئے ، مولانا اسحاق صاحب کا سب سے بڑا علمی کارنامہ یہ تھا کہ انہوں نے تمام یزیدی ملاؤ�� کو چیلنج دئیے رکھا کہ ذخیرہ احادیث سے ایک صحیح حدیث معاویہ کی شان میں لا کر دکھاؤ، ان کا یہ چیلنج ایک دہائی سے زیادہ عرصہ قائم رہا ، کسی ایک یزیدی ناصبی مولوی کی جرات نہیں ہوئی کہ مولانا اسحاق صاحب کا چیلنج قبول کرتا ، مولانا اسحاق صاحب کو قتل اور تشدد کی دھمکیاں آئے روز ملتی تھیں مگر وہ بہادر بابا ہاتھ میں عصا پکڑے پیدل مسجد تک آتا تھا ، اس کے ساتھ کبھی کوئی سیکیورٹی گارڈ نہیں رہا ، نہ ہی انہوں نے کبھی پولیس پروٹیکشن لی، مولانا اسحاق صاحب کسی کلمہ گو کی تکفیر کے قائل نہیں تھے، وہ سب کو مسلمان مانتے تھے، یہ مولانا اسحاق صاحب ہی تھی کہ جنہوں نے کوفہ کیخلاف جھوٹے پراپیگنڈے کا موثر جواب دیا اور اہل کوفہ کی وفا اور جانثاری کو کھل کر بیان کیا۔ مولانا اسحاق صاحب کی شخصیت کے مطالعہ سے آپ یہ جان سکتے ہیں کہ حق باطل پر بھاری کیسے ہوتا ہے ؟؟
ایک اکیلا ، دیسی سا عالم کہ جس نے آل یہود اور آل سعود کی اربوں کی انویسٹمنٹ کو برباد کر کے رکھ دیا، اور ایسا واحد عالم بھی ٹھہرا کہ جسے اس کی موت کے بعد اس کی حیات کے دور سے زیادہ سنا جا رہا ہے، میں نے بڑے بڑے نامی گرامی فقراء کو مولانا اسحاق صاحب کی تعریف اور ان کیلئے دعا کرتے ہوئے سنا ، فرقہ پرست غلیظ ملاؤں کے ریوڑ کے ریوڑ پھرتے ہیں ،محمد و آل محمد ﷺ سے سچی مودت کا حق ادا کرنے والا مگر وہ ایک ��ی تھا۔ اہل بیت اطہار سلام اللہ علیہم کے دفاع میں کبھی اپنی جان کی پرواہ کی نہ اس عظیم مشن سے کوئی مال بنایا، ایسے مومن مسلمان ہوتے ہیں کہ جنت جن کے انتظار میں ہے

"Four police officers arrested a young man near the blessed Rawdah of the Prophet ﷺ. Without saying a word, they immediately tied his hands behind his back with a rope. The young man kept asking, "What have I done? I'm neither a thief nor a criminal. Why are you treating me like this?"

An elderly man had been watching the entire scene from a distance. He approached the officers and said, "I know this young man." The police asked, "How do you know him?" The elderly man replied, "I always see him standing or sitting in front of the Prophet's ﷺ Rawdah, sending salutations (salawat), offering salam, and weeping. Why have you arrested him? Is he a thief?" The young man was an Albanian, around 35 or 36 years old, with shoulder-length hair and a light beard. The police replied, "No, he is not a thief. He is from Albania and has been living in Madinah for six years without legal residency documents. We have tried many times to deport him back to Albania, but every time we arrest him, he somehow escapes. We always find him again in the Prophet's Mosque. This time, we had no choice but to tie him up immediately." The elderly man asked, "What will you do with him now?" They answered, "We will enforce the law. We are taking him to the airport and putting him on a plane back to Albania." The young man wept, realizing that this time he might truly have to leave the city of Madinah—the city filled with the memories of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

After a while, he pleaded with the officers: "Please understand. I do not steal, rob, deceive, or harm anyone. I came here only out of love for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I have no worldly purpose." The officers replied, "That is not enough. According to the law, you must return to your country. Foreigners cannot remain here without legal permission."

As they escorted him out of Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, the young man made one final request. The officers allowed him. He looked toward the Green Dome and, overcome with emotion, cried out: هل هكذا كان الاتفاق بيننا؟! "O Messenger of Allah! Was this our agreement? I left my business, my family, and my parents so that I could become your neighbor, but now they will not let me stay." As he uttered these words, he collapsed to the ground. The officers initially thought he was pretending to faint so he could escape again. But when they lifted him up and poured water on his face, he did not respond. One officer exclaimed, "Perhaps he has suffered a stroke or a heart attack. Call an ambulance immediately!"

An ambulance arrived and took him to the hospital. After examining him, the doctor said: "He passed away about an hour and a half ago." The officers broke down in tears, saying: "By Allah, while carrying out our duty, we never realized the depth of this man's love for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." After he was washed, prayed over, and prepared for burial, he was taken to Jannat al-Baqi' and buried there. The young man who was supposed to depart for Albania instead departed for Jannat al-Baqi', leaving behind a moving example of love for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
