Hon’ble Governor of Tamil Nadu, Thiru. Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, presided over the seminar on “Tamil Nadu’s Growth and Employment Agenda on the Journey towards Viksit Bharat@2047,” held at Bharathiar Mandapam, Lok Bhavan, Chennai, today (29.06.2026).
In his inaugural address, the Hon’ble Governor underscored the importance of sustained economic growth, employment generation, and innovation driven development in shaping a prosperous and inclusive Tamil Nadu. He highlighted the State’s pivotal role in contributing to the national vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047 and emphasized the need for collaborative efforts between government, industry, academia, and civil society.
The seminar featured a keynote address by Prof. S. Mahendra Dev, Chairman, Economic Advisory Council to the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, who provided valuable insights into policy frameworks, economic strategies, and pathways for achieving sustainable and inclusive growth.
The event served as a significant platform for dialogue and deliberation on strengthening Tamil Nadu’s growth trajectory, enhancing employment opportunities, and aligning the State’s development agenda with the broader national vision.

மாண்புமிகு தமிழ்நாடு ஆளுநர், திரு.ராஜேந்திர விஸ்வநாத் அர்லேகர், அவர்கள், இன்று (29.06.2026) சென்னை, மக்கள் மளிகை, பாரதியார் மண்டபத்தில் “ 2047 -ல் வளர்ச்சியடைந்த பாரதம் என்ற இலக்கை நோக்கி தமிழ்நாட்டின் வளர்ச்சி மற்றும் வேலைவாய்ப்பு திட்டம்” என்ற தலைப்பில் நடைபெற்ற கருத்தரங்கிற்கு தலைமை தாங்கினார்.
ஆளுநர் தமது தலைமை உரையில், நிலையான பொருளாதார வளர்ச்சி, வேலைவாய்ப்பு உருவாக்கம் மற்றும் புதுமை சார்ந்த முன்னேற்றம் ஆகியவை வளமான மற்றும் உட்சேர்க்கை மிக்க தமிழ்நாட்டை உருவாக்குவதில் முக்கியத்துவம் வாய்ந்தவை என ஆளுநர் அவர்கள் வலியுறுத்தினார்.2047 -ல் வளர்ச்சியடைந்த பாரதம் என்ற தேசிய நோக்கை அடைவதில் தமிழ்நாட்டின் முக்கிய பங்கையும் அவர் எடுத்துரைத்தார். மேலும், அரசு, தொழில் துறை, கல்வி அமைப்புகள் மற்றும் சமூக அமைப்புகள் இணைந்து செயல்பட வேண்டியதன் அவசியத்தையும் குறிப்பிட்டார்.
இந்த கருத்தரங்கில், பாரதப் பிரதமரின் பொருளாதார ஆலோசனைக்குழு தலைவர் பேராசிரியர் எஸ். மகேந்திர தேவ் அவர்கள் முக்கிய உரையாற்றி, கொள்கை வடிவமைப்பு,புதிய பொருளாதாரத்திட்டங்கள் மற்றும் நிலையான வளர்ச்சியை அடையும் பாதைகள் குறித்து பயனுள்ள கருத்துகளை பகிர்ந்தார்.
தமிழ்நாட்டின் வளர்ச்சி பாதையை வலுப்படுத்துதல், வேலைவாய்ப்புகளை மேம்படுத்துதல் மற்றும் மாநிலத்தின் வளர்ச்சி நோக்கை தேசிய நோக்கத்துடன் ஒருங்கிணைத்தல் ஆகியவற்றைப் பற்றி விவாதிக்க இந்த நிகழ்ச்சி முக்கிய தளமாக அமைந்தது.
