Today: open tasting for the Zenkoku Shinshu Kanpyoukai, (Japan Sake Awards = New Sake Tasting Competition). Industry folks can go to Hiroshima and taste through all submitted sake. Hyogo edged out not only perennial top Fukushima, but also the whole of Tohoku. Wow. Interesting.
This is one event that has a solid place on our Sake Calendar and if you are in Japan and into sake, really is a must-visit!
Tickets do often sell out for some sessions, so make sure to get yours early if you want to join 😉
