The GREATEST mainstream Bollywood movie of the last decade - #BajrangiBhaijaan - completes 11 years today. An ALL-TIME BLOCKBUSTER with over 3.6 crore footfalls.

I'm reproducing the post I had written last year about this ICONIC film. Do read -

A movie that is immensely enjoyable and emotionally resonant on the face value, but is also superbly nuanced with subtext if one scratches the surface. And that's always a hallmark of a GREAT movie - entertaining at the surface level but deeply seminal if one digs into the inner layers.

It topples so many stereotypes & prejudices pertaining to issues such as Indo-Pakistan and Hindu-Muslims.... And it does all that while being amazingly entertaining. It's a masterclass in dishing out messaging without being preachy or pretentious.

And #SalmanKhan as #Bajrangi is arguably one of the best casting decisions. Not only @BeingSalmanKhan is the embodiment of secularism & humanity, but also the favourite among children. Only someone who understands the unspoken pain & pathos of a mute girl could have portrayed this character... and Salman implicitly understands the pain of others even if they don't express it to him.

The scenes/interactions between Salman Khan and #HarshaliMalhotra are the highlight of the movie. Humour, supporting cast and climax are simply outstanding.

And here is one GEM which very few people noticed: Salman Khan's father in the movie is shown as an RSS pracharak. #PawanKumar is a centre-right man filled with usual prejudices against Pakistan and Muslims. But he doesn't let those prejudices obliterate his humanity. And that's how several people are in the Hindi heartland. They cannot spout sermons on secularism & humanity but practise it instinctively.

That's the reason why this movie penetrated the length & breadth of the country... One of the most WATCHED Bollywood movies of the 21st century.

Thanks #KabirKhan for crafting this MASTERPIECE. This piece of art will live for 100 years and more....

Salman Khan & Nayanthara Head To Europe For Massive Action Schedule! 🔥

#SalmanKhan's upcoming action entertainer with #Nayanthara, directed by #VamshiPaidipally is gearing up for its biggest shooting schedule yet.

The team will head to Austria in August to film some of the movie's biggest action sequences, with the schedule also extending across other parts of Europe.

Mounted as a large-scale commercial entertainer, the film is expected to feature high-octane action, multiple looks for Salman Khan and grand production values. Producer Dil Raju has already confirmed that the shoot is expected to wrap by October, describing it as a "massive film" with plenty of heroism and wow moments.

With the Europe schedule now locked, the film is clearly entering its most ambitious phase of production ahead of its 2027 theatrical release.
