Today I’m excited to introduce Copilot Search in Bing. Copilot Search blends the best of traditional and generative search to help you find what you need. Whether it’s a navigational search result, a quick straightforward answer, or a complex query that leads you on a journey of discovery, Bing is your AI-powered search and answer engine. Copilot Search is rolling out today to everyone. To get started, go to https://t.co/lJVuQT9rMm and start exploring.
This is a meaningful next step in our evolution of search, building on our learnings from Bing Chat, Copilot, and Bing Generative Search to provide our users the best search experience while supporting and building a healthy web ecosystem. Learn more in today’s announcement: https://t.co/14128Tx5nX
I’ve never written more code than I have over the last 2 months alongside our insanely talented team to deliver the first ever frontier experience from MAI.
Today we’re announcing Copilot Tasks, a to-do list that does itself. Tasks gets better the more you use it. It has its own computer, browser, and a ton of tools/MCPs. As you connect with more services and Tasks learns your preferences, it takes the bs off your plate.
Just last week, I asked it to “book me a car from the office to catch my flight.” That was it. Behind the scenes, it checked my calendar, looked at my flight details, noted when my last meeting ended, factored in travel time to the airport, and made sure I had plenty of buffer to get through security and to my gate.
Within minutes, a car was booked at the right time, no calendar math, no stress.
All the thinking I normally do around meetings, flights, and timing has disappeared. It's not just about getting tasks done it’s about getting your time back.
This week, Tasks enters Research Preview for some users to test it out. If you want to check it out early, join the waitlist for our pre-launch:
Lately I’ve been getting questions about Copilot Search in Bing and how we compare to Google AI Mode. They’re both excellent AI search products but we’re taking a different approach for some query segments. As you can see in the video below, both provide compelling generative responses for a query about the best time to visit Victoria. Yet for the follow-up queries about pictures of the popular Butchart gardens and the weather forecast, Copilot Search provides richer answer cards although without generative descriptions. Let us know what you think, and if you’d have a preference… Either way the convergence of traditional and generative search in the future years will be fascinating and we hope you come along for the ride.
Copilot Search in Bing is designed to meet you where you’re at in your discovery journey, even when a simple topic leads to a delightful rabbit hole. Learn more: https://t.co/GTbe5J6SBE

Today Microsoft is announcing significant AI updates across Copilot, Windows, and Bing. Our team is focused on Bing now, so I’m particularly excited to share the next step in Bing generative search, which is being rolled out in beta. To try it in the US, just type “Bing generative search” into the search bar. You’ll see a carousel of queries to demo, showing how it provides more relevant and comprehensive answers. Bing generative search combines the power of traditional search and LLMs in new ways, where the search results and UX layout are both optimized with generative AI. Learn more: https://t.co/KMZ8kiNCB2
Today we’re launching our new Copilot experience. I truly believe we can deliver a calmer, more helpful and supportive era of technology, with a Copilot that is now more intuitive, more personalized, and secure. Learn more, download, and enjoy.
At Microsoft AI, we are creating an AI companion for everyone. This is the first step.
This is a great overview of Bing's unique AI-powered search capabilities, from the LLM-powered chat responses in search results we shipped last year to the generative search experience we announced last month. We'll continue innovating for our users. https://t.co/KZwAqJVxa2
@MParakhin Interesting! Love the use of wikihow data to test. Wonder if this is more effective as a system to identify what can be parallel/sequential in plan generation than calculating the total final time itself (which may be better done by code)
Excited to share an early preview of @bing's generative search experience! We’ve reimagined the search results page by infusing GenAI. Lots of long hours by my team to get here, lots of new features incoming! Your feedback is invaluable! #changingsearch#Bing#generativesearch
I’m excited to share an early look at Bing’s new generative search experience. It combines the power of LLMs and SLMs with Bing’s search results to generate a more delightful and efficient UX layout. This is another meaningful step forward in our evolution of AI-powered search.
Last week @Bing turned 15 years old. Everyone on the team should feel super proud of the incredible work over the years. As I said to them, I think Bing is incredibly underrated by the tech world who haven't caught up with how good it is. Congrats to everyone at Bing, a huge thank you to our users, and here's to the next 15 years of innovation!
Amazed to realize that I've spent two-thirds of #Bing's existence. Incredibly passionate people in the most challenging problem space. Got some cool projects to share soon! Happy birthday @bing! #changingsearch#gobingorgohome
Today marks the 15th anniversary of Bing. As we celebrate, I'm reflecting on Bing's key positive contributions to search, the broader tech industry, and society at large. Thanks to everyone who's been a part of this journey. Let’s continue making search better for everyone.
Did you know that you can generate an image directly from the Bing search bar using a simple prompt? @bing is fully integrated with @MSFTCopilot and @MSFT365Designer cc @mikeschechter@JordiRib1
Sam Altman just said GPT-4 is "the dumbest model any of you will ever have to use, by a lot"
Plus, huge developments from Google Chrome, Scale AI, Anthropic Claude, and Ukraine's new AI spokesperson.
Here's everything going on in AI right now:
Deep search is now available. It uses our existing Bing index and leverages GPT-4 to expand and enhance your query, and determine possible intents. In this example, if your intent is the document camera, then you’d select the top option and get a full page of enhanced results.
There was a time when you had to build a mountain of experience and knowledge to be able to execute *well* at something. That's gone now. Anyone can do anything. Optimize your hustle, download Microsoft #Copilot today!
