Absolute Annihilation of Madkhalism:
Shaykh Taqiyy ad-Dīn Al-Hilālī (translator of the “Noble Qur’ān”) Absolutely Destroys the Madkhalīs In One Article, Written a Almost a Century Ago
Shaykh Taqiyy ad-Dīn Al-Hilālī wrote this in the 2nd Year, Issue#21, of Al-Hudā an-Nabawī magazine published from Ansār As-Sunnah in Egypt, in 1357 hijri, which corresponds to 1938–1939. See attached thread below for scans of Arabic original):
"You see our leading scholars reading the verses concerning jihad and its hadiths, passing over them while turning away from them, as though those addressed by them were someone other than themselves, or as though these texts had been abrogated and had no application in practice.
Yet when one of them sees a man put on his left shoe before his right, enter with his left foot first, eat with more than three fingers, let his garment hang below his ankles, shorten his beard while leaving his mustache, or something similar, they turn everything up and down, thunder and rage, as though the greatest pillar of Islam had collapsed!
Our purpose is not to diminish the importance of adhering to the Sunnah, whether in matters of etiquette and outward appearance or in matters of obligations and pillars. Rather, our purpose is to draw attention to the way in which most preachers have departed from the Prophetic guidance - especially the Prophet’s guidance concerning jihad. Because of its difficulty, hardship, and exposure to death, they have caused it to die out, turned away from it, and closed their eyes and ears to it. Instead, they have occupied themselves with the etiquettes of eating, clothing, entering and leaving, circumcision, and outward appearance—such as trimming the fingernails, removing the hair that is to be removed, cutting what is to be cut, and leaving what is to be left. They concern themselves with the etiquettes of dyeing the hair and applying kohl, and when they move beyond these matters, they proceed to bodily acts of worship. As for the financial obligations and jihad, they are burdensome and difficult, and for this reason they have cast them aside and neglected them.
Even more grievous is that the scholars of countries ruled by foreigners (colonialists) ally themselves with the enemies of Islam, submit to them, support them against the Muslims, and issue them fatwas concerning whatever they desire. They are more kāfir than all the kuffār. Despite this, you find them holding their noses high with arrogance, commanding the allegiance of the common people, presenting themselves as religious authorities, and calling what they practice “Islam.” How evil is that which they burden themselves with!
Because of these people concealing the truth and due their kufr, what remained of Islam has been destroyed and continues to be destroyed. Thus, when the ordinary and ignorant Muslims saw that their scholars had caused jihad to die, they began volunteering in the ranks of the enemies of their own people and religion and fighting their fellow Muslims. Sometimes these kāfir scholars even issue fatwas telling them that their actions are justified, while declaring the mujahidin who undertake this neglected obligation to be Khawārij rebelling against the state, highway robbers, corruptors, and troublemakers.
In this respect, they are the worst of the two enemies and the more unbelieving of the two groups, in addition to the dirty disgrace and treachery inherent in their conduct - qualities from which even the noble of kuffār would consider themselves above."

Shaykh Hānī as-Sibā’ī: Sayyid Qutb Was Truly a Lofty Mountain, a Tremendous Tower - Whose Legacy Must be Defended by Those Who Have Ghayrah
“We call on those responsible for Al Jazeera to rectify the flaw and distortion conveyed by the program “The Banned” and to restore the standing of Shahīd al-Islām (The Martyr of Islam) Sayyid Qutb - either by producing another program that is more serious and goes much deeper in examining the life of this lofty mountain, the great teacher - truly - Sayyid Qutb, or by issuing an official apology for broadcasting a program that, to put it at its mildest, was trivial and superficial.
We also call upon those who have Ghayrah (protective zeal) from the People of Islam, especially those authors who possess good and beneficial pens, to defend the intellectual legacy of this tremendous tower that was Shahīd al-Islām, Sayyid Qutb. They should confront these suspicious and organized campaigns aimed at undermining the thought of the martyred scholar Sayyid Qutb and his well-rooted movement, which truly defended Islam and resisted the currents of oppressive arrogance and hegemony, as well as those who stand behind them from among the secularists and some self-defeated “Islamists” intellectually and ideologically.
In conclusion, we say: They oppressed the Flag of Islam, Sayyid Qutb, while he was alive - and here they are wronging him after his martyrdom. But we proclaim it loudly: Just as he continues to live longer than the lives of those who hanged him, so too, will his life continue longer than the lives of those who hate and vilify him.”
- From Shaykh Hānī’s article: Ash-Shahīd Sayyid Qutb wa-Qanāt al-Jazīrah; written May 20, 2004
That quote is not the words of Sh Muhammad Ibn ‘Abdil-Wahhāb, as you will see on pg.289.
Sh Turki al-Bin’alī said about this passage:
“And some of them said…’”
Thus, the statement was not attributed to a specific person - and this is an example of academic honesty.”
Shaykh Fāyiz al-Kandarī wrote:
“In fact, one of the interrogators (in Guantanamo) explicitly stated to me, with complete clarity, that the most dangerous figure to the West during the last century, was Sayyid Qutb.”
Al-Bala’ al-Shadīd Wal-Mīlād al-Jadīd pg.211

During the 1970s and 1980s, there was an Islāmic revolution led by the Ikhwān al-Muslimīn against the atheistic socialist regime of Ḥāfiẓ al-Asad in Syria. Imām ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Bāz passed a fatwā declaring it farḍ ʿayn to join the mujāhidīn. The mujāhidīn were eventually defeated, and the well-known Ḥamāh massacre occurred.
Some points to take from this fatwā. Despite the ideological errors of the Ikhwān al-Muslimīn, the Imām still obligated supporting them and joining them in their jihād against the Asad regime. Why? Because they were still Muslims with rights and were fighting a legitimate jihād at the end of the day.
Notice how the Imām didn’t chastise the mujāhidīn for revolting even though they ended up losing and even though the regime responded by inflicting great harm and destruction upon Syria and its people.
What situation does this remind you of? Doesn’t it remind you of Ghazzah? Yet we have people today claiming to be upon the methodology of the Imām yet blame the mujāhidīn in Ghazzah for the destruction and genocide of Ghazzah, refuse to support them, and even rejoice over the martyrdom of their leaders and fighters!
Madkhalis will look you in the eye and tell you that the movement which opposed such Kufr in this video was "the worst thing to happen to the ummah".
Alhamdulilah, the ikhwān revived Islam in Egypt. Practicing Islam was laughable yesterday but today is the norm.
Shaykh Abū Qatādah:
“I admit that within the Najdī Daʿwah there was some deviation into extremism (ghulūw). I acknowledge this. Meaning: declaring the societies that opposed the Daʿwah, after it became a state, to be kuffār and mushrikīn…”

Sh. ʿAbd Allāh as-Saʿd clarifies that the issue of ʿUdhr bil-Jahl is a matter of Ijtihād, and he does not accuse those who differ with him of being Murjiʾah.
This stands in contrast to some among the Mashāyikh and Tullāb who transgressed with their accusations on the topic.
