Salem Fire crews are on the scene of a second-alarm apartment fire in Southeast Salem. The fire is now under control, and thankfully, our firefighters were able to contain it quickly.
Investigators are now working to determine the cause of the fire.

To get ready for the upcoming weekend, the Salem Fire Department will be launching the life jacket kiosk at Wallace Marine Park starting from tomorrow, May 10th, and it will remain open throughout the season. Remember to stay safety around the water by wearing life jackets.

Commercial Fire Update!!! Currently, there are no threats to surrounding structures. While there is still active fire, it is under control, and our crews are managing any flare-ups. Operations remain in defensive mode.

At 4:44 PM, our crews responded to a commercial fire on Market St. near Lansing Ave. On seeing significant smoke, the crews upgraded to a second alarm. They are currently in defensive mode. Thankfully, no injuries or victims were reported. Stay safe, #Salem! #FireUpdate
