O que mais chama atenção nesse debate não é a ivermectina. Não é o mebendazol. Não é sequer o estudo.

É a frase do Dr. John Campbell:

"Podemos estar curando o câncer da sua esposa, do seu marido, da sua mãe, do seu pai, do seu filho ou da sua filha com ivermectina e mebendazol."

Uma declaração dessa magnitude deveria provocar uma corrida científica mundial para confirmar ou refutar os dados com máxima urgência. Afinal, estamos falando da doença que mais destrói famílias em todo o planeta.

Os resultados apresentados apontam uma razão de benefício clínico de 84,4%, com 32,8% dos pacientes sem evidência atual de doença, 15,6% apresentando regressão tumoral e apenas 15,6% em progressão. Se esses números resistirem à validação científica rigorosa, estaremos diante de algo extraordinário. Se não resistirem, a ciência deve demonstrar isso com a mesma transparência.

O problema é que vivemos uma época em que algumas hipóteses são descartadas antes mesmo da investigação completa e outras são aceitas antes mesmo da comprovação completa.

A ciência verdadeira não teme perguntas incômodas.

Ela teme apenas respostas falsas.

Quando o assunto é câncer, o que está em jogo não é ideologia, política ou narrativa.

São vidas.

None of the kids in your family ever step foot in a daycare center or public school. You have an unbreakable bond with your parents, grandparents, and children. No one in your family ever steps foot in a nursing home because everyone is taken care of by family in their older years.
