NEW YORK CITY: Prepare for air qualities WORSE than yesterday.
Likely in the code red to code purple category.
A wall of dense wildfire smoke will arrive by noon.
ā Visibilities below 3 miles
ā Youāll taste the smoke
ā Your eyes will sting
EVERYONE should avoid the outdoors.
With $40 million poured in by the creators of āSouth Park,ā the refurbished Casa Bonita is reopening with the same 1970s vibe and drastically improved food. The Colorado restaurant went bankrupt during the pandemic but was rescued by the new owners. https://t.co/ZBW1DmwUZC
HUGE: After @MomsDemand volunteers and survivors - including families from Uvalde - showed up today at the statehouse, a *bipartisan* group of lawmakers voted to move legislation that would raise the age to purchase an assault weapon from 18 to 21. #txlege
Itās easy to demand video and images when itās not your loved ones. Donāt share or watch the video. Instead, call Congress. Vote. Knock on doors. Take action for meaningful reform. Commit to being part of the change and do the work. That is what will move the needle.
Until we address weapons of war in our communities we won't be able to keep our schools, churches, synagogues, theatres, malls, concerts, medical offices, food stores, & public gatherings safe.

WATCH: āā¦it wasn't mental health that killed these people, it was an automatic rifle. I'm a gun lover. I have guns. I'm a former police officer. Iām a former Army officer ... prayers won't bring these people back. We need action in our legislatures.ā
Gun laws seem to work in literally every other country in the world. Weāre all well aware you donāt like that fact. Whatās next? We keep dying until there are electoral consequences for Republicans who believe the Second Amendment is more sacred than second graders.
You donāt need an AR-15 to hunt or protect your family.
You need an AR-15 if you want to kill as many people as possible in as short an amount of time as possible.
Itās the mass shooterās best friend. They would be the people most affected by its ban.
BREAKING: A TX man w/AR-15 killed 5 people "execution style." Two female victims were killed lying on top of 2 surviving children. Three surviving kids were covered in blood.
All b/c they asked him to stop shooting while their baby slept.
This is GOP's "well regulated militia."

Gun violence is now the number one cause of death for children in our nation.
The solutions are clear: we must pass reasonable gun safety laws at the state and federal level.
THEY DID IT!!! Washington @MomsDemand and @StudentsDemand volunteers just helped pass HB 1240, which prohibits the sale and manufacture of assault-style rifles, including semiautomatic rifles with detachable magazines.
The bill is now headed to @GovInslee for his signature. šŖ
Iāve never made a political social media post in my life, and Iām 100% comfortable posting this. Itās not political. Iām posting it because my wife is a teacher. And because we have 2 school-aged kids. And because Iām proud to work with @CoachBrentKey and call him a friend.
