Following today’s vote, we hope Rishi Sunak (@rishisunak) or Liz Truss (@trussliz) will continue to prioritise social care reform, support funding for a dementia moonshot and remain committed to the 10-yr plan for dementia
I'm so proud of the joint work that Milken and Alzheimer's Society have done to develop this report.
Thank you to all of the investors, experts, philanthropists and advisers that inputted into this.
Together, we will beat dementia.

So sad to hear news that the one and only Denis Law has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's but I will join him by being positive and supporting his daughter’s fundraising for Alzheimer’s Society, who are doing so much to fight this awful condition and support those affected by it.
Thank you to @alzheimerssoc for donating to the #BAMEOnline conference to ensure as many people within the Society can attend and learn how to be a better anti-racist fundraiser, leader, manager... Human!
Will you commit? @alzheimerssoc's #DementiaActionWeek starts on Mon, 17 May with a call to #CuretheCareSystem. So we're inviting you to take 7 actions in 7 days in support of people living with #dementia and their #carers. Don't worry, they're easy! 😉 👉👉https://t.co/XnXsGXhKy0
Incredible piece on @BBC6Music this morning from @mrnickharvey about his Father, Paul Harvey, and the incredible impact that music can have on people living with #dementia massive thanks, for all you and your Dad have done, Paul. @MusicforDemUK@alzheimerssoc
'Two years since the prime minister promised to ‘fix the crisis in social care’...we cannot believe there won’t be a clear commitment in the Queen’s Speech from this gov to rebuild the broken social care system.' - @FiCarragher, Director of Research. https://t.co/3md692ZHaQ
Right now, our flawed social care system means that nearly a million UK families are struggling to care for their loved ones with dementia, with the dignity and support they deserve. 1/ #CureTheCareSystem#DAW2021
What happened to Sarah Everard has hit home hard for so many women because we make the calculations she did every day too. We take the longer, better-lit route, push the fear aside for the voice that says ‘don't be daft, you've every right to walk home alone at night and be safe’
Unlike many, I have no strong feelings about Meghan, or her in-laws
But I’ve never quite understood the disproportionate hatred directed at Meghan alone; or why so many people are blind to the ripple effect such hostility can have

Thank you to Paul Harvey and @mrnickharvey for the beautiful music and for sharing your story. @SirTomhunter thank you for your incredible generosity and for your inspirational philanthropy.
Those religious leaders who have proclaimed that Covid 19 is God’s punishment for homosexuality and have now been tested positive, I certainly wish them well, but it’s a convoluted way to Come Out.
Thank you @mrjamesob for talking about people living with dementia in this crisis and the importance of @alzheimerssoc Companion Calls on Friday. People with dementia are so vulnerable at this time and need all of our support! #coronavirusuk
@jennyeclair@chetom@mrjamesob@alzheimerssoc Please do retweet Jenny, it seems its bringing lots of joy to people and people living with dementia, and their carers, need all of the support at the moment. It will really help bring them to the forefront of people's minds in this crisis. Sorry to hear about you and mum!
