✊ Solidarity to @NEUnion members at Oasis Sheppey Academy – on day 3 of action!
They are striking today over behaviour and staff safety. All educators and their pupils deserve a safe working and learning environment @SouthEastNEU#ValueEducaton
Today, we have taken out an advert in over 30 newspapers in England calling on @GillianKeegan to restart talks to avoid strikes on Wednesday 5 and Friday 7 July.
Education is in crisis and schools need the funds to give children the education they deserve.
Teachers and support staff need to be paid properly for the essential work they do.

@joannagreenland@HeroicMrT Yep… I feel so sorry for about 50% of the class who can only get a break if you send the other 50% out. Sometimes I can handle them and sometimes I can’t, and I let more of them go to the toilet just for a break
@jerrylamb3@ScottPughsley Yep!! Fed up of hearing of another report being written saying we need joined up systems to deal with knife crime, obesity, criminal lines, ill mental health, sexual exploitation and grooming … and yet nothing national and joined up put in place.
@ScottPughsley@jerrylamb3 A lot of people are being brought up by people society failed, firstly to recognise trauma they were suffering and then by helping them deal with it.. some people are able to turn it around others can’t. More help is needed not bashing.. and intervention
@_Just__Dave_@kazza_cupcake Nope … I know plenty of traditionally clever people and they would make crap teachers … disappointing that some teachers are dividing an us v them, at some point these potential teachers were let down like teachers, and different teachers are now sticking the boot in
@tombennett71 Agree - my own kids misbehave for a wide variety of reasons and i respond in a variety of ways … the aim is always to get them to reach the households expected behaviour, that might take longer some times. Not sure why the same principle seems so alien in education
Help please I was once sent a pdf version of a fairly short book on domestic abuse, it was written by a guy that tries to help abusers stop abusing and how he does it.. has anyone read it? #DomesticAbuse
Ballot posted @NEUnion funding for schools is not a luxury, funding needs to include money to help feed, clothe, council children the government is failing to support on a daily basis. Early intervention could save billions in policing and healthcare in later years
@DrProudman And if she was chancellor of the exchequer you’d have a better point.. what’s the facts on companies reporting huge profits while laying off workers, huge companies managing not to pay tax… this rise in hate towards the monarchy seems to be a distraction from others
