Another beautiful cushion finished from last term’s course & sent in by the lovely Rachael. Sometimes being creative takes a little bit longer to get these results - a mix of appliqué, machine embroidery & intricate hand embroidery to create this piece. Question is - where is it?

Lesson in progress! So tonight we are back with our Creative Textiles Course - this term specialising in patchwork & quilting. First lesson is cutting little squares accurately, with a rotary cutter. Surprisingly, nobody has cut themselves yet 😳Believe me, this is a real skill!

Introduction to Machine Embroidery 🪡

This introductory one-day course will provide you with the opportunity to learn basic freehand machine sewing skills (as appropriate to your design) to create your own beautiful piece of stitched artwork.
