With November 27 now established as the #InternationalDayAgainstChildMarriage, the world has sent a clear message to the millions of girls and women who were married as children: you are seen, your rights matter, and this crime must end.
This milestone grew from a call led by our Founder, @Bhuwan_Ribhu , and carried forward by a powerful movement of partners, governments, institutions, communities, and allies in India and across the world. We are grateful to every person who stood with this movement and helped take India’s resolve to end child marriage to the global stage.
The world has spoken: child marriage has no place in our future.
Our mission remains unchanged: a #ChildMarriageFreeWorld by 2030.

As the United Nations passes landmark resolution to establish #27November as the International Day for the Elimination of Child, Early and Forced Marriage, this moment brings together the persistence of civil society and the decisive political leadership needed to turn a global demand into action.
I remain deeply grateful to H.E. Dr Fatima Maada Bio, First Lady of Sierra Leone, for carrying this call forward with conviction and urgency.
Today, we walk together into the world, into these United Nations, carrying with us the hopes of children everywhere and the responsibility for our shared future.
If the world is truly one family, then no child can be someone else’s responsibility. Every child is ours to protect. That is the meaning of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.
Together, we shall.

Deeply grateful to H.E. Dr Fatima Maada Bio for recognising Just Rights for Children’s work to end child marriage by 2030 at #UNGA.
This recognition honours thousands who have taken the rule of law to the last mile, stopped child marriages and turned a demand for justice into a global call for action, now reflected in this historic resolution. This is for our children and all our partners.
To have that work acknowledged as this historic resolution was tabled before the UN General Assembly is profoundly meaningful. Thank you, @Ladyfatimabio@FirstLadyBio.
Together, we shall. #InternationalDayAgainstChildMarriage
As we await the tabling of the resolution before the United Nations General Assembly to establish #27November as the International Day for the Elimination of Child, Early and Forced Marriage, I am conscious that we are standing at the threshold of a historic moment.
The question now is not whether we know what must be done. The question is whether we will act together, with the urgency and resolve our children deserve. @un@JustRightsIndia@JustRightsIntl@worldjurist@JRCNepal@CMFreeWorld #UNGA

The journey towards a #ChildMarriageFreeIndia is ultimately about freedom. #Freedom for a child to remain in school, grow without coercion and decide their own future as an adult. That freedom must never depend on where a child is born.
@Bhuwan_Ribhu@JustRightsIndia
“Child marriage is child rape”— @Bhuwan_Ribhu ji,you said it absolutely right. That truth has united hundreds of organisations, thousands of communities, govts, judiciary and one shared conviction: child marriage can—and must—end.

Landed in #NewYork.
I come here carrying the hopes, prayers and determination of millions who believe that no child should ever be married.
On 4 September, the United Nations @UN will consider the resolution to designate 27 November as the International Day for the Elimination of Child, Early and Forced Marriage.
What began as a call for a #ChildMarriageFreeWorld is now before the world.
The next few days are about every child’s right to freedom, dignity and a future where they can realise their full potential.
Child marriage is child rape. It cannot be justified by tradition, culture or circumstance.
Our Founder, @Bhuwan_Ribhu , has consistently called for an uncompromising response to child marriage, one rooted in the rule of law, accountability and collective action.
From India to the world, the movement continues towards a #ChildMarriageFreeWorld by 2030.
