New Fire

🔥 Anderson Fire: Located on Anderson Mountain, approximately 4.5 miles north-northeast of Gibbonsville, Idaho.

The 0.1-acre, lightning-caused fire is burning in a single Douglas-fir tree.

Two firefighters are on scene working to suppress the fire.

🔥 Bird Fire: Located approximately 5.5 miles north-northwest of Carmen, Idaho. The 25-acre, lightning-caused fire is burning in grass and timber and is 90% contained.

One Type 2 helicopter, one engine, and 12 firefighters are working to suppress the fire.

The dispersed camp site is located along the west-side of the Yankee Fork Road near the confluence of Yankee Fork and West Fork Yankee Fork.

The coordinates of the site are 44.350266°, -114.726022°.

The Forest Service will temporarily close a dispersed camp site in the Yankee Fork area, from July 6 to August 18. The campsite will be used as a staging area for a stream restoration project.

Ramshorn Wildland Fire Module, commonly known as a WFM, spent 2.5 days clearing the Langer Lake Trail #4014, Ruffneck Trail #4022, and South Fork Fall Creek Trail #4021. In total, the crew removed 220 trees across 6.3 miles of trail.
