This week the Bring Back the Salmon crew, along with two OFAH Conservation Interns got out to help our partners at Ontario Streams with some stream restoration. We used 70 Christmas trees to stabilize 30m of stream bank and reduce sediment in the water.
As part of Earth Week, we assisted our program lead sponsor Ontario Power Generation and a school with a park cleanup. The park was clean, as it is being well cared for. We met two people who modeled a stewardship ethic for the students. I hope more cleanups end up this way!
Today we released 200 alevin from "the condo" into the tank at the OFAH | Mario Cortellucci Hunting & Fishing Heritage Centre You can visit our heritage centre in Peterborough to learn about fish and wildlife species of Ontario.

Exciting things are happening with the salmon eggs in Ms. Mills Grade 4/5 Class. The eggs have moved into the next stage, the Alevin stage. Soon we will remove them from the “salmon condo”! @CLOCA1 @OntarioNature@kprschools@FishWildlifeON@conont
