There once was a woman who walked into Europe’s oldest archives
and found sacred Aztec and Mixtec texts mislabeled as “curiosities,” locked in drawers, untouched for centuries.
She wasn’t a professor.
She wasn’t invited.
She wasn’t supposed to find them.
But she did and everything changed.

Hugh Hefner reportedly notified the FBI that a Playboy Playmate was sexually abused and trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein and others in his orbit. Court records state Hefner was told by then-Playboy Playmate Audra Christiansen in 2005 that she was an Epstein survivor and requested the Playboy founder call the FBI, arguing he would have more status than her with the authorities. Hefner allegedly called the FBI several times with the tip, who didn’t investigate the claim for 15 years, according to court documents. NewsNation’s @DianaFalzone reports.

@CatoLiang@DD_Geopolitics That would mean accepting defeat and Trump won't let himself look weak during midterm elections. Our best hope is that Democrats get elected and end this war, but I doubt even they'd end it. I hope you're right and the US ends the war soon, but I expect it to drag on

@JohnPau82740260@ParvumPrincipi In the Icelandic Sagas the Icelanders sail "south" to Norway, when they are actually sailing south east. You kind of have to take geography as described by ancient sources with a grain of salt. Homer didn't have Google maps, bro
@JohnPau82740260@ParvumPrincipi Homer is the first written example of the term Aethiopia but that doesn't mean he was the first Greek to know about it. Western Aethiopians were sub-Saharan Africans and Eastern Aethiopians were South Asians, ie, dark skinned people at the edges of the known world
@JebraFaushay Ever heard of the Greco-Bactrian Kingdom? It was a Greek state in Central Asia. It came later than the era of the Odyssey but the Greeks had connections to Central Asia before the Bactrians
