It’s not a retcon. Where did it ever state before that she wasn’t a god? We know that she’s a giant, we know she has primordial ancestry (I think that’s what they called it), we know she has (near) equal power to Thor, and we know she has the gift of foresight like the Giants who created the prophecies. None of that screams “100% not a god”

Mythologically, while not a true goddess, she was so “god-like” her god son was named after her in an age where children were named after their fathers. Santa Monica has always played fast and loose with mythology and I easily see them going the route of her being a goddess and either hiding it her entire life or she never even knew. Atreus would have never known he was Loki if he didn’t find that prophecy. Would that have made him less of a god? Think critically and not cynically.

Just spent the last 8 or so hours coding a rudimentary enemy AI for a top down horror maze game (not a genre I know a damn thing about) from scratch without using any tutorials. It has multiple functioning states and a line of sight system. I could run through a wall right now.

How does that have no effect? The guy who got leveled was the guy out of position 5 seconds later when the goal is scored. Wanna expand on how he’s supposed to magically get back up and figure out what man is his after the other D shifted? Is he using telepathy or eyes in the back of his head to do this? Is he supposed to teleport? Also, he was tracking the entry of the puck and got hit and wasn’t able to stay with his guy who had the puck. No effect? I think your brain has less of an effect on your life than anything in this clip or conversation.
