IndyCar driver Graham Rahal torches Sen. Adam Schiff after the California Democrat accused Trump of wasting taxpayer money on the historic Freedom250 race in Washington — a race that was privately funded by Penske Corporation.

Schiff posted on X claiming Trump was using the event as a "self-aggrandizing" distraction from rising costs. One problem: he apparently never checked who actually paid for it. Penske President Bud Denker told NBC's Washington affiliate directly: "We are."

Rahal fired back, noting the race drove thousands of visitors into the DC area who spent money at local businesses — an economic boon, not a taxpayer burden. "This was privately funded, not government," Rahal wrote. "That's economic impact for you."
