Here's the thing about Brexit. We materially failed to repeal some of the most damaging anti-growth EU era laws that were forced onto our statute books over almost half a century.

But by simply *not copying* the EU's newly conjured up mad ways it is trying to drive its economy deeper into the dirt, we are accidentally avoiding a world of hurt.

Divergence by accident, delivering dividends for British tech, labour market (yes it could be worse), and allowing a future government to pursue a saner energy policy.

The Democratic Party of Clinton and Obama never had this level of public association with socialism.

They have their own inverse-TEA Party problem now.

Worth noting that while divided parties with a clearly more radical wing often struggle at generals, they get dedicated voters out at lower turnout mid terms (see GOP 2010).
