SMUGGLER 0 - GENDARMES 1

Smuggler caught beating illegal migrants with a large stick.

On the busiest day of boat crossings I’ve ever witnessed, these scenes stood out.

A huge number of illegal migrants walked straight past French gendarmes on the beach, clearly intending to cross the Channel.

Meanwhile, smugglers were openly organising them into groups, with one using a large stick to keep people in line.

But this particular smuggler went too far, repeatedly striking people with his stick until even the gendarmes had seen enough and stepped in.

An extraordinary scene in an already extraordinary day.

If Nigel Farage wants to be prime minister he has to find a way to bring the people he has alienated and excluded back into the fold. Restore Britain only exists because Nigel can’t handle criticism or dissent. This is a serious flaw that he must overcome. A real leader would have found a way to keep Rupert Lowe in the party and to harness his commitment and energy. Lowe has shown that he has more about him than any of the people in Reform. His policies are sound, and they have helped to push Reform towards a much needed harsher line on how to deal with the invasion of our country. It’s clear that he and Restore are not going away. Their percentage of the vote keeps growing. All this bleating about vote-splitting is not going to change anything or solve anything. It’s up to Nigel now to show that he is a real leader and a real statesman. It’s what our country desperately needs. We can’t go on like this.

They attacked leather. We got polyurethane shoes that crack in one winter and sit in landfill for 500.

Now they are attacking beef. We are getting pea protein with eighteen ingredients, a cartoon cow on the box, and a third of the iron.

The original came from a field and a kitchen. The replacement came from a refinery and a patent.

Not one of the originals has ever been improved on. Every one of them has been replaced.
