A dark-money nonprofit called Build American AI, linked to a super PAC backed by executives at OpenAI and Andreessen Horowitz, is paying lifestyle influencers up to $5,000 per video to spread pro-AI messaging and stoke fears about China’s technological rise, WIRED reports.

Influencers received sample scripts warning that Chinese AI dominance could expose Americans’ personal data and eliminate U.S. jobs. Most labeled posts as ads but did not disclose the funding source.

Someone proposed a "Data Center" in the next town over. Facebook warriors activated the sheep to protest it based on NO FACTS, tonight the application was withdrawn. It may have been good, or it may have been bad, but we will never know. The concerning part is that thousands of people can be activated based upon pure ignorance of any facts.

@davec_NH There were plenty of facts....you're just ignoring them. That site previously held a bottled water company who ran urrounding wells dry. We fought them until they went bankrupt. We will fight this too!
