È stato rilevato un misterioso segnale spaziale, proveniente da un oggetto nella Via Lattea, chiamato ASKAP J1832, a circa 15.000 anni luce da noi.

Il segnale si ripete ogni 44 minuti, per 2 minuti, emettendo onde radio e raggi X in modo sincronizzato, un fenomeno mai visto prima in un transiente a lungo periodo.

Questo segnale non corrisponde a oggetti noti a noi, come pulsar o magnetar, quindi si è ipotizzato possa essere una magnetar con un campo magnetico molto intenso o un sistema binario con una nana bianca magnetizzata, ma ancora non c'è nessuna spiegazione chiara.

Potrebbero essere due cose:
Un nuovo oggetto celeste, o loro, gli altri, i cosetti verdi, grigi, insomma, loro.
