WWE Producer TJ Wilson is concerned that wrestling fewer matches could hurt the development of wrestlers:

“LA Knight had the most matches in WWE last year with 64. I asked the guys at a seminar how many matches they had, and guys were like, ‘I’ve had about 100 this year.’ In three years our most wrestled guy is going to have 190. What about the guy that’s wrestling 15? In three years from now he’ll only have 50. 50 matches is not a ton of reps.”
