I've such fond memories of watching #MidsomerMurders with my parents when I was in my teens and early-20s. So to coincide with their wedding anniversary, I took Dad to watch the stage show The Killings At Badger's Driftย ๐ช ๐ฐ ๐ณ Mum would have loved it โค๏ธ
The photos don't do justice to "You're Not Alone" at Lightroom: it's like being immersed in the mind of David Bowie (his music, his art, his personality) whilst taking a (decidedly non-linear) journey through his life and career. An absolute must for all #Bowie fans โก
Really enjoyed the #StarTrek Wrap Trail at the @sciencemuseum๐ So cool seeing so many replicas, models, props and uniforms (worn by the likes of Captain Pike and Admiral Picard ๐คฉ). Watching First Contact on the big screen was the icing on the cake. A great day out ๐
Huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along to "Reclaiming Belonging" today. So good to come together to engage with the Bible and share stories of LGBTQ+ inclusion in the life of the Church ๐ณ๏ธโ๐ โช
I love remote working, but catching up with your Line Manager is so much better face-to-face (specially over a miso chicken salad and an accompanying blueberry matcha). Great to see you yesterday Peter!
Big news! I'm helping organise a small conference at St Johns Church (Friern Barnet) on the morning of Saturday 16th May โช Biblical scholar Jonathan Tallon will be sharing his thoughts on whether LGBTQ+ inclusion can be compatible with Scripture (the answer may surprise you!) ๐ณ๏ธโ๐
Whether you're a person of faith, or no faith at all, you'll find a lot to enjoy in this film (such as Daniel Craig's detective Benoit Blanc)! And once you've watched it, check out this (spoiler-heavy) article that explores the Christian themes in detail: https://t.co/SWmwFIftUB
If anyone needs ideas for films to watch this Christmas, I highly recommend #WakeUpDeadMan on Netflix: a fascinating depiction of Catholicism, exploring the tensions between (and motivations behind) two very different priests that serves as a microcosm for religion in the USA...
Featuring a remarkably balanced (and at times very sympathetic) portrayal of Christianity, I can't recall the last time I saw a mainstream film where the concept of grace is so central to the plot...
Thanks so much for all the birthday wishes ๐ It's been a wonderful weekend of delicious food, Christmas choirs, lantern parades, and memory making with friends and loved ones โค๏ธ
