@stokegtpolicefc@swpleague@swsportsnews Hard to take, but we will continue to grow and move forwards. A shame that a local team to us wanted us to fail especially after helping them! Strange!
💯 ✨ 100 CLUB ✨ 💯
Tonight’s game, at home to Teignmouth, marks a VERY special occasion, as we welcome Sam Biscoe to the 100 club.
Yes, you’ve read that right … one of our amazing managers & coaches has been in charge of our men’s 1st team for 100 games. What an incredible achievement. We are so lucky and grateful to have him.
Of the upcoming occasion Sam had this to say:
“Tonight is a proud moment for me.
I’ve been around football since the age of five. I’ve played and been coached by some fantastic managers and coaches, and I’m really grateful for those experiences.
Going into management always felt like the next step. I love the game, and I love seeing people enjoy playing it.
This is my fourth year at Stoke Gabriel and Torbay Police, and it’s been a real rollercoaster. From taking on a team that had just been relegated and called the worst team in England, to now working with a group of lads who’ve earned promotion and are pushing for another strong season, I’m genuinely proud of how far the club has come and of everyone who’s been part of that journey.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way. I’ve worked with some great coaches, assistants and joint managers, and I’ve learned something from all of them. I really appreciate it.
Here’s to game 100 and hopefully plenty more to come.”
THANK YOU SAM … here’s to many more 👏👏
