Very sad to read this. Over the years I have had several probing and pleasant discussing with Emma while she was a radio presenter. She was one of the best!
Today we launched Developing in the Dark — and what a day it has been.
In honour of Helplines Awareness Day, we finally opened the doors to this photography exhibition and let the world in.
Our team has poured so much into bringing this project to life

Today is Helplines Awareness Day! This week, we’ll be sharing powerful portraits and stories from people whose lives have been transformed by helplines — shining a light on the difference that support can make when it’s needed most. #HelplinesAwarenessDay
Sometimes I wonder if South Gloucestershire Council can ever achieve anything without breaking out into a row!
Shamefully heckling from the Lib Dems during our amendment standing up for post offices across South Gloucestershire.
These unplanned closures on the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge will cause chaos once the M48 bridge is closed to HGVs later this month, forcing a 100 mile detour via the M50 and M5. This will raise costs for hauliers and ultimately cost jobs @CllrLisaDymock https://t.co/uxzsBrhPH8
I’m sickened by that degrading spectacle. And to think the bust of Winston Churchill was in the same room as it unfolded. He would be turning in his grave if he saw that happen.
Ukraine’s people, led by President Zelenskyy, have fought bravely to hold off Putin over the last three years with US and European support. Zelenskyy has shown sincere gratitude for the support offered by his partners. We salute him and the courageous Ukrainians as they fight for freedom against Russian imperialism.
Countries can and do disagree, but the West must show a united front to our enemies.
The dignity & strength of @ZelenskyyUa faced with unprovoked aggression is remarkable. This is a critical moment in global politics & security. We must rally to the cause of democracy & the rule of law. Ukraine stands at the front line & we must support them #SlavaUkraini 🏴🇺🇦

How much money has now been wasted pursuing another scheme or project no one wanted?
From gimmicks to green buses, residents of the West of England have had enough.
Time for change and time for @SteveSmith98
Great to attend the White Hat Ball in aid of NSPCC’s Childline on Friday night. Thank you @TashJNorris for the invite. So much money raised for a brilliant cause and great to see such passion in the room.
Years of cut bus services and metro mayor gimmicks have taken a toll on Bristol and the surrounding areas.
We need radical approaches that makes using public transport as easy and efficient as using a car. Glad that @SteveSmith98 is on the case and gets the issues!
Bristol is the second most congested city in the UK. This is no surprise to locals given our diabolical bus system that puts people off ditching their cars
🗣️Increases to employer national insurance contributions will hit councils directly to the tune of £637 million in 2025/2026. The full figures can be found here 👇👇👇https://t.co/YP469SjvSq
